“I rarely give five stars, but I must say I am so glad I found this spot. I've had several friends tell me about it,but just never took the chance to go by there. The atmosphere was quaint and beautiful, the food was freaking awesome, and the service was exceptional. The placed was so packed, we sat at the bar, but the food was still fast, fresh, and delicious. I promise I will be going back and recommending this to a few friends and family...“

“I have been meaning to write this for the past month, but I am now finally getting around to it. This brewery is a shining gem in this region. They've got to have some of the best beer I have ever had. I was nervous reading the descriptions... some of these beers are CREATIVE. Smoked tea-infused beer? Guess what, no nasty smoke aftertaste, 10/10. A NITRO-brewed Irish Red? 10/10 One of the best beers I have ever had. I took several packs home with me, and found a few beers exploded... Post Secondary, without question refunded me and apologized for how rare and unfortunate it was (and I got to enjoy all my other beer). The Laos food truck and inCREDIBLE live music (Elvis Buckley - what a VOICE), topped off a night filled with friendly faces, willing to talk sports with some strange, obviously not local dude. This place is very much worth a stop if you are passing through for work. (I played pokemon yellow on the arcade machine in the back... side note).

“Fantastic beer and a tremendous burger and even better to be able to enjoy both at Happy Hour pricing and with great company. I selected The Veil as the spot for my UYE and enjoyed an evening of talking shop with a friend while we drank those great beers.
The Veil is a comfortable spot in the Railroad District and we were sitting in their dining area on the ground floor. Big tables and plenty of room this afternoon. Which we needed because that burger and fries needed elbow room to enjoy. I'd only suggest a pump-based ketchup dispenser as the packet thing is tedious.
They opened here in 2019 - well after I was done with my projects in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake - transforming this three-story space into a family-friendly taproom and restaurant. The full kitchen specializes in indulgent smashburgers and Neapolitan-style pizzas that pair perfectly with the brewery’s bold stouts, hazy IPAs, and seasonal sours.
We didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the Only You Bar & Lounge upstairs. Maybe that's the next visit to Hampton Roads.“

“06/10/05I had a blast at this bar. Go during a car race. They give drinks for crashes. I asked for a menu in this place, they gave me a pizza shop that would drop off. The balls on these people.So much fun. Be respectful and you will have fun.“

“Food is always amazing. best brisket in this part of Virginia. and we have tried a few places around Chesapeake and vb. nothing compares which is sad to the others but Tap it is about 7 mins from our house. Definitely the go to spot for something chill. love ❤️“
