Shout out to Point Break Cafe. It's located in the old Oysterette location on Portsmouth Blvd. just down the street from shops and Chesapeake Mall. My son and grandson were visiting from NYC and I wanted to take them for Saturday brunch before they flew home. They are foodies and are often sampling the fares of the 5 boroughs so wanted to go someplace that wouldn't disappoint their opinion of Hampton Roads food. Point Break was on point. Eaten here a few times and honestly it seems to be hit or miss. 90% of there time the food and service was fantastic but I've had bad service a couple times, most likely due to being understaffed or new inexperienced waiter. I'd recommend going but maybe not if their very busy.
My wife and I went here on two separate occasions both times we had the same waitress I believe her name was Hannah a blonde woman. Both times we were there she was rude and inattentive. The second time we went we waited for a while before even getting to order while she was behind the bar just talking to the other waitresses. We were left with empty glasses for most of our meal as well. The food there was great though no complaints there definitely recommend for their food just...
