The mac and cheese is a definite standout—it’s the real deal, creamy and flavorful, and a perfect side for any meal. I also highly recommend the smothered pork dinner and the catfish; both were cooked to perfection and had that deep, rich flavor you only get from true soul food. The portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth.
While there can be a wait at peak times, it's a testament to how good the food is. The quality and taste are absolutely worth it. If you're in the Virginia Beach area and craving a truly satisfying and delicious meal, this is the spot.“

“Its a VIBE, I booked my party threw Webbie & she made sure I was straight the entire night. I loved how security was respectful & alert , they meant business at the door, I most DEFINITELY APPRECIATED how the smoking stayed OUTSIDE. Only hookah & vapes inside my lungs was burning of second hand smoke or nun of that it was hot aab but the DJ kept me rocking & rolling. So 10 out 10 be back again 🤟🏾🤟🏾✊🏾✊🏾🤞🏽“
“Wanted something different. I heard they have good crab cakes. Well, I thought I made the best crab cakes but there's remind me of Blue Channel crabs. The sandwich was?????????. Best I had in the 757. Almost 1/2 pound of crab with no fillers. The place is a little hard to find and something you would see on Diners Drive in and Dives. Large delicious portions, friendly folks. DELICIOUSLY AMAZING.“

“Searched for black owned businesses near my job last month, and found this place. First time visit today, for lunch. Got the Salisbury dinner with mac and yams. Came with rice and gravy, and cornbread. The ladies behind the counter were kind and courteous, clearly working hard. My order was ready in less than five minutes. The plate probably weighed a couple pounds. The Salisbury steak was THICCCC, very generous portion which I appreciated for the price. The gravy was perfectly thick and seasoned well. The cornbread is delicious.
Small notes: the Salisbury steak was slightly dry, but well cooked, and the gravy compensated for the moisture and added some more flavor. The mac and cheese was lacking a bit of flavor, but just add a lil bit of that brown gravy to it and thank me later. Yams aren't something I usually order, so I don't want to offer an uninformed assessment. The consistency was nice, good chunks of yam vs a mash, and the flavor is sweet with a hint of cinnamon. I enjoyed them.
Overall I really enjoyed this meal despite the food coma I am now in, and I will definitely be back again!“

“Ooh Chile! Hunn-Nae! Ba-bby! Must I continue w/the expressions? THIS hidden GEM needs exposure; THATS HOW SEASONED & GOOD THIS FOOD IS! OMG. Recently, I was at work thinking about how I wanted some collatd greens, wondering where I could order some from. I googled and this spot popped up! I called , ordered & my son picked our food up. The call taker was so patient and professional. Items we've tried :mac n cheese, collars, yams, turkey chops, pork chops , dumpster fries ?& fried whiting ( the 3xs we 've ordered in 2 wks) Our food was sooo tasty that I tried calling back to see if they catered! ? So, if anyone reading my review enjoys soul food as much as my family does ,I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LMSK!!♨??Don't believe me? Try it, you'll thank me later! ...easily give it 5 ⭐s?“
“We just ordered from here tonight through Uber Eats and it’s so delicious! The regular chicken empanada took me back to my childhood 😋 My hubby and I agree that this is where we found the best Mac n cheese in the area! The sweet potato mash was delicious too. So darn good!“

“My daughter brought me for a birthday brunch surprise. This was my first time here. I love the atmosphere, nice music played, relevant program on TV. The food and drinks were reasonably priced. Our server was polite, knowledgeable and efficient. My granddaughter loves their homemade macaroni and cheese.
I had a wonderful time and I'll come back again.“
