The staff is absolutely hit-or-miss. I really don't know what the issue is. I was here for takeout last summer and was told I could not wait in the bar while waiting for my order? I went in there anyway and had two very good martinis. Don't quite understand the policy.
We came on a recommendation from our hotel manager, and it was great seafood. I had the platter special with shrimp, oysters, clams, hush puppies, and fries, and my wife had the (blackened mahi) fish tacos. Generous portions, and everything was very tasty. Came out fresh and hot, and the fried items were perfectly well prepared. Lisa our server had great recommendations, was very personable and on the ball with refills. No reservations taken, but worth the wait!
Best meal we had on the island! Crab cakes are amazing and they have fantastic coleslaw. Excellent service too! I’m at another restaurant now because Captain Zach’s is closed tonight and it is disappointing. Would give 6 stars but reducing to 5 due to the midweek closure during my vacay 😂
