I love to come here and get sandwiches every year we come to chincoteage and i understand that they make everything fresh but we waited over 45 minutes for our food that’s outrageous
If you're looking for a great lunch on Chincoteague, Meltdown is absolutely worth a stop.
I ordered the Reuben, and it was one of the better ones I've had in quite a while. The corned beef was piled high, the Swiss was perfectly melted, the sauerkraut added just the right amount of tang, and everything was grilled on beautifully toasted rye bread. It was messy in all the right ways.

I highly recommend! We showed up just before close, like minutes before 6:00pm and they took our order without hesitation. We didn’t know they were getting ready to close, because we are on island time!🤣 We got Ruben’s and I believe they are the best we ever had!
