Smoked Kitchen and Tap Reviews
DO NOT miss the Smoked Kitchen. During a recent "leaf peeping" drive from Richmond, we visited Crozet in time for lunch. First, the location is easy to find and easy to park. My step daughter got married this weekend October in Crozet VA. Delivery was spot-on and seamless. They were professional and had great setup suggestions! Smoked Kitchen and Tap is a restaurant that offers a great dining experience in northern Virginia. It has received praise from visitors for its excellent service, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The brisket is a highlight, highly recommended for BBQ lovers, even comparing to Texas standards. Guests have also raved about the ribs, which left a strong impression. The menu features a convenient QR code at the table, allowing diners to order a variety of meats and sides a la carte. The atmosphere is enjoyable, and the staff is noted for being super friendly and professional, welcoming guests promptly.
While the service was generally quick, there were instances where meals took longer than expected, but staff handled situations transparently, ensuring a positive experience. The little hostess/waitress was praised for her exceptional politeness and attentiveness. The food has been described as flavorful and clearly cooked with care, including the burgers and the signature meat skillet. The Virginia Blackberry BBQ sauce is considered the best, and the ribs are described as awesome, especially after trying them for the first time. The restaurant also features a great little patio area for outdoor seating when the weather is nice.
Although the cornbread is the sweet variety, some may find it less impressive if they prefer savory options. The menu includes a wide range of homemade sauces and interesting sides that are not typically found at other restaurants, along with quite a few desserts. The vibe is great and not too loud, making it a welcoming place for a relaxed meal. The restaurant is a place where diners can expect great food, friendly service, and an inviting atmosphere, making it highly recommended for anyone in the area.
