“This used to be our favorite spot! My family and I came here all the time because their chicken tikka was absolutely the best. We even had friends who would drive all the way from Maryland just to have it! Sadly, they’ve recently changed the recipe, and it just doesn’t taste the same anymore. It’s really disappointing, and unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be coming back. :(“

“Love that the guy behind the counter felt the need to share some ethnic tv show from his country with the customers. It had women wailing and dancing . Of course he had it turned up at a robust volume so all could enjoy. 🙄
The food is good and decently priced.
The sidewalk outside needs washed. Icky.“

“I don’t have a lot of halal restaurants near me so I was so excited to hear of something like halal hotpot. The soup was delicious and the owner is the sweetest woman ever!! Me and my friends were new to hot pot but she came and checked in with us and helped us the entire time! Delicious food and kind staff :)“

“First time here on a Friday night. We had reservations that were mixed up. Even though the restaurant was expected to be full they accommodated the 6 of us. The owner came over to greet us. I told him that this was my first visit. (Everyone else had been several times) Oh then he proceeded to bring bite size samples for me to try. He then offered up suggestions as to what I need to have for an appetizer, main course and even dessert. Food bursts with flavor. But the real experience here was the service. First class. Thank you all for the dining experience.“

“They go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Food is great and if you don't know what you want, don't be afraid to ask. I think different family members work different hours. The gentleman who I have had during the daytime is so wonderfully friendly and helpful, makes you want to give him a hug.“

“This is a favorite personal stop for me and my family. We’ve been coming here for years and have never experienced a meal that wasn’t delicious. The food is wonderfully seasoned with tons of character and vibrant colors. The dish can evolve as you move from one side of your plate to another. My favorite dish, the Kadu Palow, is divided into a hearty beef stew, a well-seasoned rice, and an insanely delicious pumpkin. Each part of the dish offers a unique taste profile that goes from beefy to salty to a sweet with some yogurty-tang. It’s crazy how many flavors can live on just one plate and offer new experiences by mixing these taste ecosystems. Their decor is classy and a little fun with little die-cast cars lining the bar. The owner is super nice and always greets our family warmly. The restaurant is a staple in my life and their food has never failed to leave me heading home happy. If you haven’t been here, do yourself a favor and try the food.“

“I’ve been coming here since 1999, and I must say, this place serves the best Kabob I’ve ever eaten. The food is delicious, and the sauces truly elevate the dish. The service is phenomenal, and they cook the food fresh on the spot. If you’re in the mood for a great Kabob meal and find yourself at Springfield Mall, you must try this place. I highly recommend the chicken—it’s amazing.“

“I've been coming to eat at Famous Kabob for years and every experience has been awesome! The food is always delicious and fresh (I am obsessed with the bread), and the owner is a great guy, has always been super nice when I stop by. The lunch special (11am-3pm I believe) is such a good deal too! I highly recommend, one of my favorite places to eat.“

“We've been craving to try Flame Kabab for ages, and oh boy, it exceeded our expectations! This charming family-run Afghan restaurant is a hidden gem. The moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff who made us feel like family.
The lamb kebab was absolute perfection - tender, juicy, and infused with a smoky flavor that left us wanting more! The portions were generous, and we thoroughly enjoyed the freshly baked whole wheat bread, fluffy rice, and savory chickpeas on the side.
What impressed us most was the personal touch - the staff knew everyone's name, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, even on a weekday evening. And don't even get us started on the Afghan ice cream, Shere Yakh - it's a must-try! We can't wait to come back and indulge in more of their delicious offerings.
The prices were super reasonable, which made the experience even more delightful. A huge thank you to the Flame Kabab team for satisfying our hunger and leaving us with unforgettable memories. We're already counting down the days until our next visit! Inn Sha Allah, we'll be back soon, and we wish you continued success and baraka on your business.“

“Nothing has changed. I enjoy coming to this Grill Kabob. This restaurant is located in Herndon, VA, off of Elden Street. The owner is always attentive and friendly, so welcoming that you'd think you've known each other for years. When I visit this restaurant, I usually order the kobeeda Chicken combo platter. It's one of their signature dishes. The portions or platter is enough for two people easily, and the two different rice combinations are a great tasting variety in this platter. The food is cooked over a flaming grill, slowly and meticulously, and it's fun to watch them prepare this great tasting combo platter. However, if you want to tantalize your taste buds; ask for the spicy sauce, I think it's for the pita bread for dipping. Yet, admittedly, it adds so much flavor to the meats (that is) if you let it soak in a little. But that's just my humble opinion. Like I said, the pita bread that is oven baked and so soft that I use it to dip into the spicy sauce as well. The pita bread compliments the meal. I can't imagine anyone nor enjoy this particular dish. So if you have a hankering for Mediterranean food, definitely visit Grill Kabob because you won't be disappointed.“

“I love this spot! Their fresh bread is to die for, everything is so flavorful, and you can tell a lot of heart goes into the food. We ordered a two kabob meals, hummos, and mantu, and extra bread (of course). The owner is super kind and personally knows his regular customers. 11/10 would recommend and hoping to get to regular status soon!“
