Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had in the DC area. This is Michelin star quality cuisine and service nestled in the suburb of Fairfax.
The 30 seat fine dining restaurant is has a seasonal tasting menu with no false notes, each dish is artfully crafted and presented. Great food and staff!
Recently moved to this area and wanted to find a smaller place with a chef’s table. I loved it. Note * I’m a vegetarian and they were able to accommodate- so I can’t speak for their meat dishes but the vegetarian dishes were creative, well balanced and with the perfect amount of flavor. Elyse is a restaurant that offers a phenomenal dining experience. The service is absolutely perfect, attentive, and unobtrusive. The ambiance is intimate but comfortable. The meals are served at ideal temperatures and at great intervals, with beautiful plating. The chef's counter is a great place to learn about the dishes, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The food is of high quality, with dishes like foie gras supplement, blue moki, and Australus loin standing out. The non-alcoholic beverage pairing is also excellent, with complex drinks like Amaretti. The restaurant offers a journey told through food, with intentional and layered flavors. The staff, including Chef Jon, is wonderful and makes sure to provide a special night. Overall, Elyse is a great place to dine, with a unique experience that moves you. The restaurant has a non-alcoholic pairing menu and a wine pairing menu, both of which are well thought out. The chef and staff are passionate about their work, and it shows in the care and effort they put into the food and service.
