I made the mistake of not making a reservation here for dinner on a Saturday night. Even so, the hostesses were kind enough to fit us in at the bar. There was still full service and we got to watch the bartenders make beautiful cocktails. We wanted to try everything on the menu. Started with the pie tee, I ordered the Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang while my fiancé ordered the Curry Laksa noodles, and we finished with some pandan crème brûlée and coconut ice cream. Overall very filling, amazing quality of food and service, and definitely lived up to their name of making a good (Southeast) Impression.

Came here for dinner with the family and got a huge assortment of dishes. Started off with their Calamari and the Chicken and Beef Satay. For our entrees we got their famous Singapore Chili Softshell Crab, Pineapple Fried Rice, Drunken Noodle, Mee Goreng, Nasi Goreng, Pork Fried Rice, and the Duck Curry. Overall the food was really good. Most of the rice dishes were alright, but the noodles dishes were amazing! A must get here is the Chili Crab; little bit sweet and spicy with the perfectly fried soft shell crab. Service was friendly and the place was nice inside.

We were excited to try out this restaurant. A little beyond disappointed that the food quality was not up to par. We had the chicken and beef satay and it tasted like it was boiled and not grilled. The flavor was not good at all. Very disappointed. The chicken pad Thai was just okay. The soft shell crab was good except the flavor of the sauce was not good in flavor. The nasi goreng is a fried rice with an egg on top which was just okay again. Nothing exceptional here. Very surprised they require a credit card to place a reservation at this restaurant. They should remove that requirement or else they won't get that many customers if the quality of the food is just average.

Initially skeptical of how well one restaurant can churn out authentic and delicious dishes from an entire region of the globe, all of our doubts were put to rest as soon as the first appetizer came out and we came away totally converted into regulars. We started out with the pie tee (crabmeat-filled crispy shells) as our appetizer, followed up with beef rendang and kway teow tom yum as the mains. The quality was consistently top-notch. The beef rendang was so tender - even the thickest pieces of meat were fall-apart tender, moist, and flavorful. The kway teow tom yum was slightly tart but with a deep, rich flavor that we'd never experienced before - it's our new favorite soup. Finally, we could not stop raving about the service Gina L. provided us - she's the best server we can ever remember having. She made sure every detail was taken care of before we even thought of it, from bringing and explaining the spice rack, bringing extra bowls and spoons so we could share the entrees (before we even asked), and just being very friendly and welcoming all around. We are adding Southeast Impression to our shortlist of top places to dine in the DC area.Parking: As others have mentioned, it's easiest to park in the garage near the Giant and just walk around the corner/down the street. Even though we were there on a busy Saturday evening, as soon as we went up to the second level of the garage, it was all wide open.

Very nice interior and the food was delicious. The service was great. We were seated at the bar right away when we went in without reservation on a Friday night dinner rush. Roti canai was yum (you have to ask for chicken curry instead of dal). Singaporean noodles and hainanese chicken were also delicious. Chicken seemed a little too pricey for my liking. But overall great experience. Would definitely recommend.

The best south eastern food place in the DMV area in my opinion. The ambience is wonderful , everything from the seating to the lighting and music adds to the pleasant experience. And the food is spot on in terms of variety and taste. We loved the chicken curry and Roti canai appetizer and shrimp pad Thai was one of the best I have ever had. Service was a little slow on a Friday afternoon but it was worth the wait. Can’t wait to return to this restaurant for dinner. :)Kid-friendliness: Restaurant seating is kid friendly and they have non spicy noodles as options for kids

Southeast Impression is located in a newly built shopping strip in Fairfax. Parking is not great here. Luckily we tried it for dinner on a Monday night so they weren't crazy busy. The decor was modern with an Asian flair. The dishes we ordered: - Roti Canai - was just okay - Curry Laksa - good, but I was expecting more from the broth - Mee Goreng - probably my favorite dish that we ordered. good flavor. - Singapore Soft Shell Chili Crab - sauce was not what I was expecting. had a ketchup-y flavor to it. Overall, I'd come back to give some other dishes a try.

Stellar performance to the staff of Southeast Impressions. The food, customer service, and ambiance of this establishment is Rock-Star status! We had the Fried Calamari, Beef Rendang, 2-3 Curry Dishes (I forgot… so full right now) and Mango Sticky Rice. High fives to the chefs! Delicious!! Special shot out to Gary who went out of his way to make my wife’s birthday a memorable one. Thank you kind Sir! We shall return. -Ben

Food: menu is a bit overwhelming at first, but only because everything seems so tasty. The red snapper and roti stood out to me the most. Drinks were a little too boozy for my preference. Duck appetizer was a bit dry but the flavors were great. Pandan is home grown, which I thought was cool. Service: it was super crowded but staff made a visible effort to check up on us frequently. Ambiance: super trendy from the lighting to the music to the utensils and plates.
