It's new, it's good, it's worth visiting. [fin] Ok, jk jk, I'll write more. Let's cover food, service, and ambiance in that order. Food: Solid to very good. Of the el arriero ny steak, lomo saltado, and molcajete ... the steak and molcajete win. Sadly the lomo saltado, while quite decent, doesn't hold a candle to Super Chicken in Tysons. Ok but here's the important bit: THE CHIPS. The chips are great. Not only are they thin and crispy, they're well salted AND served with both WARM and COLD salsas. I never thought anyone would do as well as Uncle Julios for chips, but ... well, Guapos does. Service: Ironically we've been twice and we had the same server both times. And she was excellent. Super friendly, quick with requests, and checked in frequently. Not only that, they clearly operate as a team and several folks came by during the meal to ensure drinks were filled, napkins were in order ... and shockingly, as we were wrapping up, someone wiped the crumbs off the table. I mean that's a white-tablecloth steakhouse thing... right? Apparently it's a Guapos thing too. Ambiance: Fun to hip. The first time we were there was opening week and the live band was both entertaining and, uh, loud. Look, we're fogies, we complain about this err ... stuff. The second time we went it was much quieter and we were able to enjoy our meals AND our conversation. The decor is pretty great, the table arrangement spacious, and the place was packed, nevertheless. I'll close out with parking. It's a big lot, and it gets crowded ... but we found spots nevertheless on a busy night. Looking for Mexican? Yeah, I'd go here again. No arm-twisting required.

First time at Guapo's and I really enjoyed it! I loved that they had a nice large vegan and vegetarian section. I love fajitas but there are never vegetarian options. Guapo's has two! Vegetable fajitas and portobello mushroom fajitas. I got the portobello and they were delicious. Service was so quick and attentive, our drinks came out so fast! And the restaurant was very busy which is great. I liked the chips, but the salsa had room to improve. I did not like that the salsa verde is served hot/warm. I would prefer if it was cold. Other than that, great experience and will definitely be coming back :)

I really want to give it a higher rating but, consistency! This is my third time going to Guapo's and the lack of consistency makes me wonder what I'm going to get each time- service and food-wise. Service was actually pretty prompt, despite the restaurant being crowded. My issue is the servers in the blue, from my experience, I assume the servers in the white is your "main server", taking your order, etc. then you have the waiters in blue who pretty much takes away the dishes, refills your chips and salsa. My issue was this particular time, the "blue" waitress was too proactive in taking away my plates, even though I was still eating. Another time, I had to try and find someone to refill the chips/clear the plates. Food-wise, it's usually fresh and if you order the typical entree such as fajitas, enchilada, chimichanga, etc., flavors are typically what you would expect. I've had a lot of good experience with their specials of the day but this time, I ordered from their usual menu, the Molcajete. While the meats were tasty, the sauce was way too salty and my brother actually commented that his taco that he ordered was way too salty as well. I'd recommend to stick with the common entrees and if the special sounds good that day, I'd recommend to go for that. Their mangonada is delicious and I always get a horchata with my meal and it never disappoints! Would love to see them get more efficient and consistent with the service as well as the level of salt/seasoning!

First time coming to this location. Walk into the front door and the girl didn’t know where to seat us, we ended up at the corner table where ALL THE EMPLOYEES STAND AGAINST THE WALL!! Felt very awkward because they were all staring at us. (15 employees) We asked the hostess to move somewhere else away from all the employees, luckily got a new server that was friendlier and smiled. The food was ok, steak fajitas had a lot of fat on it. Got dessert, nice presentation.

Management needs to train the servers not to stare at the customers transaction when paying. They bring the machine to your face and stare, especially when tipping. I hate to feel pressured to pay,bring back the printed checks. Also they shouldn't start their tip at 20% or more , all of not most start at 10% or 15% .
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and service, but the steak on my salad was low quality and very fatty. The price was also very high for the salad.

I visited the new location of Guapo’s with my family and, unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience. Right from the start, we faced surprisingly poor service. It took an astonishing 45 minutes after being seated just to place our order, and another 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The situation with our drink orders was equally frustrating, as they were incorrect and our multiple requests for refills were blatantly ignored.What’s more, the only reason we managed to place our order after such a long wait was because we had to actively find another waiter to flag down our own. This is a clear indication of how unattended we felt throughout our visit. The ordeal made us so disenchanted that we lost our appetite and decided to pack our meals to go.Upon sharing my feedback with the manager in a respectful manner, I was taken aback by his response. He suggested that I should have approached him sooner during my visit - as though the onus was on me to rectify their service shortfalls. His lack of accountability was disheartening.Despite the unpleasant experience, I adhered to common courtesy and left a tip. However, it’s disheartening to see such a stark contrast in service quality compared to other Guapo’s locations, which I have found to be well managed. This new location is certainly off to a rocky start and does not live up to the brand’s reputation. Regrettably, this was not the dining experience my family and I had anticipated, and I cannot foresee us returning in the future.

The music is too loud to enjoy a dinner. It’s 4:10 pm and the music is blaring. I asked them to turn it down which they did and I appreciate it. That said, we have too much noise in our world as it is….can’t there be some place that doesn’t contribute to the noise pollution.
