“My wife grew up in Waynesboro but hasn’t been back since 2017. We came to Richmond and she insisted we drive over an hour and a half to have lunch here. We split a cheesesteak and each got a slice. Both were delicious and all of a sudden it made since why we made the drive. Most importantly to me, we brought our highly trained service dog into a small restaurant and received no complaints. He is a Chinese Shar-Pei, so not your average looking service dog, yet he nor we were questioned or discriminated against. Appreciate the delicious food and awareness of disability laws and compassion by the staff!“

“Jennifer, our server is also the manager. We have never, ever gotten a bad meal or poor service! She is top notch, remembering all her "regulars" and exactly what they like! Always friendly and cheerful, she takes pride in what she does everyday which is so refreshing! It has become our favorite spot since moving to Staunton. The best steak and cheese in town!

“I haven’t been thru this area in 20 years and on a roadtrip I was passing thru the area and thought OMG I’ve got to get a McAlisters sweet tea b/c they are the best. I pulled up and oh, no!,, they were closed! I called to see when they open and Shelby answered, come to find out I’m an hour and a half early, I was crushed- but you know what?? Shelby made one for me and brought it out to my car. I am both delighted and flabbergasted as this is the most amazing above and beyond thing a restaurant could do in my opinion. Shelby is AMAZING and this kind of service deserves recognition both companywide and also on Google. Thank you so much!!!! You made my day :)“
