“I deliver from here. I admit the aroma isn’t always appealing to me. Inside the store or the bag. But today I tried the El Jefe bowl for the first time and it’s wonderful. I will compare it to eating at a Hawaiian Poke Bowl place I’ve been to in Wisconsin. I like the set up of the Hawaiian place cause it’s customizable like a Chipotle. Maybe they do that here too, but I didn’t know. I just got a to go, El Jefe bowl. Very filling. Probably eat three times from one bowl. People are super pleasant and helpful here. Thanks for dinner! “I have visited here many times, and have always enjoyed it. While the place could be kept a little cleaner, overall it’s a solid breakfast spot and bagels and coffee spot. Prices are reasonable and food is solid.

“I have been very biased when trying Thai restaurants ever since I had food in Thailand as I feel like the flavors are so watered down in many places here in the US. We came here as we were visiting the area for the weekend. I had the green curry with chicken and my wife had the Khai soy noodles. Service was fast and the portion size was more than adequate. The Khai Soi is enough for two to share. The taste felt authentic and the flavors popped out and reminded me of the food I had tried back in Thailand. For the price of the food, scale of this restaurant and authentic taste and flavors, it gets a 10/10 on my personal scale!!“

“Adam Caldwell was a wonderful waiter. I had my entire family with my tonight and at one point in the night my child was crying. Adam Caldwell brought out a pack and play and sang my baby to sleep with a lullaby. After this, he offered me a free oil change and tire rotation as he held my hand out to my car. I would highly recommend eating at this establishment, as long as you ask for Adam Caldwell.“

“This location is on JMU's campus, often full. I hit it perfectly today. Ordered on the app. Food was ready for pick up at stated time. Found a comfy spot to sit because it was not as crowded as I've seen it typically. This was a wonderful experience with hearty and hot soup despite it was a pick up from the app. I don't know what was the magic, but I ordered at 10:30a as the transion to lunch occurred and was there within 13 minutes. I later ordered a soda because I didn't plan to stay. Thanks to the crew for their fast service - fast and efficient!“

“Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The hospitality here was top-tier. We were served by the owner, David Engel, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about both the food and the people he serves. That personal touch made the experience even better. The food was incredible. I paired the Tomato & Gouda Bisque with a grilled cheese, and it was hands down the best soup and grilled cheese combo I’ve ever had. Perfectly rich, comforting, and full of flavor. I also had the Chipotle Pollo wrap, and it was easily the best wrap I’ve ever eaten. Fresh ingredients, great balance, and clearly made with care. To top it all off, they had big cookies baked fresh that gave the perfect delight to end the meal. You can tell real pride is taken in both the food and the customer experience. Great portions, great prices, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this place to everyone I know.“

“We stopped here on the way home from Shenandoah National Park. We don’t have one in our town so I enjoy stopping when there is one in the area. The chicken is great and I also like the waffle fries. Their food is consistently good and the service is always great! The place was very clean and staff friendly. The person the waited on us at the counter was out in the dinner area. She noticed we didn’t get water with our meal and offered to provide some if we wanted. It was thoughtful of her to do this. We had a while left to drive and the water was needed as we were farther down the road. I would like to thank her for doing a wonderful job.“
