“Passing through on our way up to NY. We didn’t eat any food but the pastries looked amazing. The coffee is what I’m here to talk about! I’m going to have to say this might be the best coffee I have ever had and I have had a lot. We are dark roast with a shot of espresso fans. No room for cream or sugar. The flavor profile was nutty and toasty. Delish! A+ and 2 thumbs up!“

“Food was fantastic and the atmosphere felt very local and family friendly. This was our first time visiting and first time trying Detroit style pizza, which was very similar to the Sicilian style pizza I grew up with (aside from the marinara being on top). We tried the Hot Honey Meat Lovers and it was a work of art, would definitely come back to get it again.“

“This is hands down the best new hispanic restaurant in Harrisonburg. I ordered the pastelitos, baleadas, and atol de elote and it was so delicious I had to leave this review. I’m originally from northern VA/DC area and this restaurant is probably better than any I’ve tried up there. The flavor is fresh and so full of flavor, nothing was dry!! I forgot to take photos because I ate the food so fast it was so good. I’m literally begging you to try this, you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“My husband loved the cake batter shake & I loved the weekly flavor- cookie crunch. Very basic but truly great ice cream. It’s pretty soft so if you’re getting a cone like I did then be prepared to eat it fast, grab napkins, & maybe ask for a bowl on the side in case you have to dump it over into it to finish. The waffle cone tasted fresh. Fast service & plenty of parking/seating! :)“

“Off of a whim I stopped in and indulged on my Reese’s crave and my Megamilkshake was AMAZING!!! I’ve been back several times just ordering whatever caught my eye from the menu. Every-time I’ve stopped in the staff has been fun and helpful. Check it out for yourself.“

“We stopped here on the way home from Shenandoah National Park. We don’t have one in our town so I enjoy stopping when there is one in the area. The chicken is great and I also like the waffle fries. Their food is consistently good and the service is always great! The place was very clean and staff friendly. The person the waited on us at the counter was out in the dinner area. She noticed we didn’t get water with our meal and offered to provide some if we wanted. It was thoughtful of her to do this. We had a while left to drive and the water was needed as we were farther down the road. I would like to thank her for doing a wonderful job.“

“I stopped at China King with my 4 year old son and we both enjoyed the Chicken Lo Mein. It was ready in a timely manner and was very good. China King seems to cater mainly to take-out orders (which we didn't know) but they do have a few tables in the eating area. My son did enjoy sitting there and watching all of the people as they came and went to get their food.“

“Cracker Barrel got boycotted badly. They owned up to it, they apologized about it, they fixed it, and they even cracked a funny joke about it. Hey I respect that and I respect the sportsmanship when your whole business falls straight the tubes. Don't worry Cracker Barrel my boycott is over. I'll still give you my business! But I respect it if other people don't want to go. Apologize accepted Cracker Barrel“

“Edit (as of 10/4/26): As I said in a previous review, the service here is never great. However, today - we had the BEST service we have ever had. Our waiter, DeAnna, was fabulous. I watched her run the restaurant single handed while others were no where to be seen. She got to our every need in no time flat. 11/10 stars for her. Macados - give that woman a raise.
We eat here regularly (mostly because of the 0.39$ wings and cheap beer) and to be honest the service is never the best. But we ignore it for the most part. However, today we had the worst experience. It started off good. (ie got our drinks, placed our order etc.) We ordered 2 appetizers. The first one came out in a timely manner - but it had tortilla chips instead of flatbread. No big deal. Then we wait a good 45 mins & the waitress hasn’t came back. By this time we are all out of drinks & our other appetizer hasn’t showed up. When shes come back she says itll be another 30 minutes on our food, including the other appetizer. Keep in mind all we ordered was wings, a wrap, & the appetizer is literally melted cheese and Tostitos chips on a plate. So, nothing time consuming to make. We ask for the manager. About 10 minutes later she brings our food out with the appetizer - most of the stuff was cold like it’s been sitting. The manager comes out. He was cool & took the appetizer off our bill & discounted the wrap. However, the waitress was not up to par - worse than normal macados servers. I hope we never get her again. Also - the restaurant wasnt even busy. ☹“
