5 Best Craft Breweries in Harrisonburg

The Friendly Fermenter, LLC Brewery • $$
20 S Mason St Suite B10, Harrisonburg

“Happened upon this place while exploring Harrisonburg. At first parking kind of confused us, but it looks like right now you can park across the street and there’s also a lot maybe a block away that’s easy to get to. Initially we thought we would grab a flight, a snack, then head to dinner. Then we tried the Italian pretzel and had to try even more. I cannot stress how amazing this pretzel was and everyone needs to try it. I’m also kicking myself for not leaving with some “Cream of the Crop” to take home. Everyone was so friendly, Shawn was a great host and even though he was alone made sure everyone had what they needed, prices were great for both beer and food, good selection of beers, small and intimate without feeling cramped. Will definitely be back our next time through.“

Restless Moons Brewing Brewery • $
120 W Wolfe St Ste 103, Harrisonburg

“I found this place on a day drive from the Washington DC area. These guys deserve 5 stars. The place a small converted garage, but very cool inside. Someone in an earlier Yelp referred to it as unique and I would agree. I tasted a few of their IPAs. The IPAs are incredible! The tap folks are real friendly and know their beer. Try it - highly recommended!!“

Pale Fire Brewing Co. Brewery • $$

“Stopped in Harrisonburg while traveling and did what I usually do, looked for a local brewery. Can not say enough good things about this place, the staff were phenomenal and the food was excellent but the real star was the beer. Had a Kolsch, it was fantastic and paired great with the Italian sandwich.Thank you, this was a great find after a long day of driving.“

Three Notch'd Brewing Company - Valley Collab House Brewery • $
241 E Market St, Harrisonburg

“Beer was good, not too busy for a Friday evening. They do have limited parking next to the brewery with a paid lot maybe a block or so away. Wasn’t the best brewery we visited in Harrisonburg, but worth the stop if you want a quick drink,“

Brothers Craft Brewing Brewery • $
800 N Main St, Harrisonburg

“Got a flight of all the relatively sweet brews and really liked them all, from a strawberry lemonade based one to a double bock with a chocolate finish. Brothers also has a really good atmosphere that doesn't seem too much of a din; one can be heard over the music and conversation. It's a welcome thing.“
