“My husband and I visited King Family Vineyards for our 20th wedding anniversary on a Wednesday. WOW, we felt like family. Everyone was so nice to us. We enjoyed some champagne and wine, were assisted with WIFI, phone charging (long story, our fault, but an urgent need came up so we needed help) AND they set up the TV in the indoor guest space to play the World Cup Soccer game. It was such a wonderful day! Kudos to some very lovely people, from owners to the wine director and others as well. I highly recommend.“

The sauces are spectacular and the meats and fish are tender and flavorful. Amazing meal! As any bride and her parents know, planning from out of state can be a daunting task, but luckily, that was not the case for us. From the moment my daughter and I toured Old Trail Golf Club & Restoration, we knew we had found the ideal location. The outdoor ceremony space—with its breathtaking mountain backdrop, white guest chairs, and matching white arbor—set the stage for pure magic. The indoor dining room was the perfect size for our 100 guests, featuring a formal look and floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides that framed those gorgeous views. If that wasn't enough to sell us, the outdoor patio and tented area offered even more of those stunning mountain panoramas. Dancing under the stars has truly never looked so appealing!

Krista, the Director of Events was an absolute godsend, working flawlessly throughout the entire process alongside us and our wedding planner. She was incredibly accommodating, quick to respond to every question, and even stepped in with fantastic vendor suggestions when we hit a snag securing one. In particular, her recommendation of our officiant, Kayla Allen, was a home run. Kayla’s warm, friendly personality made everyone feel as though she was a lifelong family friend, rather than someone we had only spoken with a few times over the phone.

Beyond the stunning location and phenomenal staff, the food was fabulous. Unlike many venues in Virginia, Old Trail includes everything you need - meaning no running around renting and returning dining tables, linens, dishes, glasses, silverware, or chairs. Having the restaurant on-site was a massive factor in our decision, and the chef created the most delicious appetizers and a buffet that was absolute perfection.

If you are a bride looking for a wedding venue that you and your guests will remember forever, you should definitely host your event at Old Trail!“

“We got here a bit early. We were on vacation. The bartender was super helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the 5 beer flight and ordered a few. I liked the sours, my wife likes the Hef. Couldn't have asked for better service. Locals were friendly and we had an enjoyable time! Thanks for everything.“

“DO NOT miss the Smoked Kitchen. During a recent "leaf peeping" drive from Richmond, we visited Crozet in time for lunch. First, the location is easy to find and easy to park. Second, they welcome dogs. (A real plus.) But MOST IMPORTANTLY the the food is top notch and the service can't be beat. The pulled pork is the best we've EVER eaten. (I don't use CAPS very often.) Speaking as Virginia/North Carolina customers, that's quite a statement. It's dry, lean and melt in your mouth. Plenty of sauces to choose from if you wish. Absolutely terrific. We bought A POUND to take home. No kidding. The smoked chicken salad sandwich was excellent. And the beer - well, what a nice addition to a great meal.“

She told us the history behind the buliding and the backstory of the two men who created the company. What a way to wrap up a vacation with amazing customer service and delicious cider. “We've been there several times and truly enjoy the winery. Did tastings back in 2015 and just fell in love with their Quattro wine. The lication is ideal, quiet, serene and so relaxing. They do have live music, but we haven't been there to experience. We highly recommend this winery...you won't be disappointed. Staff, lication, ambiance, and quality of wines are outstanding!“

“This place was a lovely surprise! I've been to the Afton area several times over the past few years, usually on the Trolley Tour out of Crozet but we had never stopped here. My daughter and I were in the area on Mother's Day weekend and stopped here. I had no idea I like Vermouth! The Vermouth tasting was so good, we bought 2 bottles of the spring version. We also had a lovely flight of 6 wines (didn't care for one of the merlots but that's our taste not the fault of the winery). Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back and will bring friends!“
