“This place was a lovely surprise! I've been to the Afton area several times over the past few years, usually on the Trolley Tour out of Crozet but we had never stopped here. My daughter and I were in the area on Mother's Day weekend and stopped here. I had no idea I like Vermouth! The Vermouth tasting was so good, we bought 2 bottles of the spring version. We also had a lovely flight of 6 wines (didn't care for one of the merlots but that's our taste not the fault of the winery). Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back and will bring friends!“

“We had the best time at Afton Mountain Vineyards. We had a reservation for a private tasting for 11 of us. Casey was wonderful and spent so much time with us talking about the wine and the amazing vineyard. Even the winemaker himself took time to chat with us about his process. We loved the views, the pavilion space, and the incredible tasting. Our favorite winery experience of our whole trip. The private tasting was definitely worth it.“

“We've been there several times and truly enjoy the winery. Did tastings back in 2015 and just fell in love with their Quattro wine. The lication is ideal, quiet, serene and so relaxing. They do have live music, but we haven't been there to experience. We highly recommend this winery...you won't be disappointed. Staff, lication, ambiance, and quality of wines are outstanding!“

“Yesterday was our first visit to King Family Vineyards, and it was delightful. It was busy for a Friday afternoon, but there were plenty of staff on-hand to serve customers. The grounds were thoughtfully planned and there was ample indoor and outdoor seating. We came home with two bottles of wine to enjoy, after sample 2 different wine flights--Red and Summer.“

“The food is delicious and they have several gluten-free options that are designated well. My only complaint is that the seasoning is inconsistent. I've ordered the Chicken Pad Thai level three spicy, and I am unable to eat it. Other times I've ordered it level three spicy and I have to add more spice to it. Food shouldn't be luck-of-the-draw in terms of spiciness!“

“This past Wednesday, I brought my assistant to Waynesboro to help me with shopping, and that we would see if Stella, Bella & Lucy’s had availability for Lunch, which they did.\n\nInside, a number of empty seats, I asked if they had availability for two for lunch, which they did. The Restaurant is well lit inside, easy to walk to seating, with plenty of room between tables & chairs. Absolutely Lovely Decor inside, brought back many lovely memories growing up.\n\nOur Waitstaff person, Mandy took our beverage order right away, I was hoping for cup of hot Black tea, possibly P & G? I settled on their unsweetened Ice Tea with lemon slices, I had my Stevia with me.\n\nMandy informed us of the specials, we both decided on the Cup of Creamy Tomato Basil Soup and Quiche Lorraine. Incredibly quick service, I did note the Restaurant quickly filling up with Patrons.\n\nThe food… The Soup was lovely, I would have been content with a bowl of the Creamy Tomato Basil and a bit of fruit, the Quiche onions were a bit of an issue for me, I enjoyed it though.\n\nI observed the Desserts being served, they were gorgeous, My Guest ordered the Bread Pudding, I ordered the Chocolate Ganache Cupcake, a teeny taste let me know how incredibly Rich this was, and I packaged it up for my assistant to take home.\n\nI asked for the Manager, and in a moment C.C. arrived at our table, I introduced myself, and let her know how delighted I was to visit Stella, Bella & Lucy’s for lunch, ( I usually visit Waynesboro heading to SNP).\n\nIf You want a great dining experience, with a Lovely Ambiance, I suggest you make a reservation and head to Stella, Bella and Lucy’s.\n\nKesh_grammy“

From the moment my daughter and I toured Old Trail Golf Club & Restoration, we knew we had found the ideal location. The outdoor ceremony space—with its breathtaking mountain backdrop, white guest chairs, and matching white arbor—set the stage for pure magic. The indoor dining room was the perfect size for our 100 guests, featuring a formal look and floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides that framed those gorgeous views. If that wasn't enough to sell us, the outdoor patio and tented area offered even more of those stunning mountain panoramas. Dancing under the stars has truly never looked so appealing!

Krista, the Director of Events was an absolute godsend, working flawlessly throughout the entire process alongside us and our wedding planner. She was incredibly accommodating, quick to respond to every question, and even stepped in with fantastic vendor suggestions when we hit a snag securing one. In particular, her recommendation of our officiant, Kayla Allen, was a home run. Kayla’s warm, friendly personality made everyone feel as though she was a lifelong family friend, rather than someone we had only spoken with a few times over the phone.

Beyond the stunning location and phenomenal staff, the food was fabulous. Unlike many venues in Virginia, Old Trail includes everything you need - meaning no running around renting and returning dining tables, linens, dishes, glasses, silverware, or chairs. Having the restaurant on-site was a massive factor in our decision, and the chef created the most delicious appetizers and a buffet that was absolute perfection.

If you are a bride looking for a wedding venue that you and your guests will remember forever, you should definitely host your event at Old Trail!“

“DO NOT miss the Smoked Kitchen. During a recent "leaf peeping" drive from Richmond, we visited Crozet in time for lunch. First, the location is easy to find and easy to park. Second, they welcome dogs. (A real plus.) But MOST IMPORTANTLY the the food is top notch and the service can't be beat. The pulled pork is the best we've EVER eaten. (I don't use CAPS very often.) Speaking as Virginia/North Carolina customers, that's quite a statement. It's dry, lean and melt in your mouth. Plenty of sauces to choose from if you wish. Absolutely terrific. We bought A POUND to take home. No kidding. The smoked chicken salad sandwich was excellent. And the beer - well, what a nice addition to a great meal.“
