Very pleasant atmosphere and super friendly service. They seemed so genuine. You can tell that they care so much about QUALITY, because the fresh ground coffee was absolutely off the charts. This is quite possibly the BEST cup of coffee I have ever had in my 5 years of being in Virginia. Now to the good stuff, did I say good? I meant GREAT!!!!! The Mochi donuts were simply perfect. Texture and just the perfect amount of sweet. The soft chewy bite was everything that it should have been. My little princess and I ordered the 3 pack. She told us the history behind the buliding and the backstory of the two men who created the company. What a way to wrap up a vacation with amazing customer service and delicious cider. “Yesterday was our first visit to King Family Vineyards, and it was delightful. It was busy for a Friday afternoon, but there were plenty of staff on-hand to serve customers. The grounds were thoughtfully planned and there was ample indoor and outdoor seating. We came home with two bottles of wine to enjoy, after sample 2 different wine flights--Red and Summer.“

“Wonderful experience! Hubby and I visited the tasting room for Valentine's Day. We shared the Reserve flight and Valentine's Wine & Chocolate flight. We took home bottles of four of the eight wines in the flights. The food, corn chowder and a crimini mushroom flatbread, was excellent too. It's all cooked to order & served at the table. Very attentive service. Beautiful setting with sweeping views. I'm so happy that we chose it to celebrate Valentine's Day. It'll be easy to persuade hubby to take me again for my birthday in the summer.“

“You know immediately when you have made the right choice! When planning a wedding, that is the key to all the pieces falling together in perfect synchronicity. As any bride and her parents know, planning from out of state can be a daunting task, but luckily, that was not the case for us. From the moment my daughter and I toured Old Trail Golf Club & Restoration, we knew we had found the ideal location. The outdoor ceremony space—with its breathtaking mountain backdrop, white guest chairs, and matching white arbor—set the stage for pure magic. The indoor dining room was the perfect size for our 100 guests, featuring a formal look and floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides that framed those gorgeous views. If that wasn't enough to sell us, the outdoor patio and tented area offered even more of those stunning mountain panoramas. Dancing under the stars has truly never looked so appealing!

Krista, the Director of Events was an absolute godsend, working flawlessly throughout the entire process alongside us and our wedding planner. She was incredibly accommodating, quick to respond to every question, and even stepped in with fantastic vendor suggestions when we hit a snag securing one. In particular, her recommendation of our officiant, Kayla Allen, was a home run. Kayla’s warm, friendly personality made everyone feel as though she was a lifelong family friend, rather than someone we had only spoken with a few times over the phone.

Beyond the stunning location and phenomenal staff, the food was fabulous. Unlike many venues in Virginia, Old Trail includes everything you need - meaning no running around renting and returning dining tables, linens, dishes, glasses, silverware, or chairs. Having the restaurant on-site was a massive factor in our decision, and the chef created the most delicious appetizers and a buffet that was absolute perfection.

“We had an amazing experience with Red Hub Catering. They provided our cocktail hour food, reception buffet, cutting cake, bartending service, and Sunday brunch. The food and service were impeccable. For bartending service, Red Hub provided the bar set up and mixers, but allowed us to provide our own alcohol which is uncommon among catering vendors. Red Hub generated a custom menu for our reception that consisted of a nacho bar for cocktail hour followed by a taco buffet for dinner. They also baked a beautiful cutting cake and delivered brunch to the lodge we were at the following morning for everyone to enjoy. Overall an incredible vendor who expertly provided us multiple wedding services.“

“DO NOT miss the Smoked Kitchen. During a recent "leaf peeping" drive from Richmond, we visited Crozet in time for lunch. First, the location is easy to find and easy to park. Second, they welcome dogs. (A real plus.) But MOST IMPORTANTLY the the food is top notch and the service can't be beat. The pulled pork is the best we've EVER eaten. (I don't use CAPS very often.) Speaking as Virginia/North Carolina customers, that's quite a statement. It's dry, lean and melt in your mouth. Plenty of sauces to choose from if you wish. Absolutely terrific. We bought A POUND to take home. No kidding. The smoked chicken salad sandwich was excellent. And the beer - well, what a nice addition to a great meal.“
