“Homely ambiance. Portions were small, food was a bit salty, but service was great. We sat in a living room where we could hear ourselves whisper. Place was full but didn't feel like it. We didn't order wine so we might have missed out on this place's greatest strength.”
“The best wine and best people. Seriously some of the best wine I've ever had. I love every style they offer, and that's not normal at most vineyards I've been to. If you haven't been, you need to go.”
“I was greeted with a smile upon entry and the smiles kept coming throughout my wonderful dining experience! Treats on the menu are many - I sampled as much as I could. I particularly enjoyed the corn tamales - El Salvador style! They were crispy, hot and have a slight sweetness to them - these will not disappoint! The special puposas are something I have not encountered before and tasty. For a main course I enjoyed the tilapia whole fried fish - and side of salad and rice. I enjoyed the fish’s fresh and crispy texture. I also tried the plantains ? I am so glad to have El Tio here in America’s Charlottesville. If you want to try authentic El Salvadoran food - go! ???Kid-friendliness: My kid enjoyed this place (teen).”
“Always a stop when going thru Scottsville. Love all the flavors and they were all tasty! Hope you stick around for a long time! Planning our next visit real soon just for cupcakes ❤️”
“Really good breakfast altho my biscuits felt and tasted a little old.Dietary restrictions: Happily accommodated our gluten intolerance and put eggs Benedict over hash browns vs English muffin.”
“My new favorite spot! The El Nacional breakfast with chorizo eggs, the best black beans, avocado, pickled onions, sweet plantains and an assortment of hot sauces was outstanding and healthy. The homemade limeade, refreshing. The vibes musical happy bright and delicious. So glad to have found my new go to spot. Bravo to the Guajiros family.”
“Their food is pretty good. The service is fast. You come in and order your food and then pick it up from the counter and sit wherever you can. I think sometimes they bring it to your table too. I like their food too, it's quite tasty and I think their prices are reasonable. This is a good place to grab food to ”
“First time ever ordering, we got takeout because it was later but, to walk in it felt like homey cozy environment. The food was AWESOME. Great customer service and good size portions. This will be a definite go to restaurant for our family!!! Especially being a small business restaurant, they definitely have the potential to go bigger!! Thanks for the great food!!!”
“Rotating selection of a local beers, couple crazy options which I think people are getting past that fad now but still simple. Straightforward stuff that I like as well. I like in the pilsner and the brown ale.Good friendly atmosphere, also a couple of corner TVs if you want to watch the game. But certainly doesn't feel like a sports bar.”
“Bodo's is always great, and the customer service is always top notch. Plus they are awesome about making my custom half OJ half carbonated water orange soda for me.”
“If I could leave this place 6 stars I would. The service is amazing the food is even better. The dumpling appetizer was one of the best things I’ve eaten I think that is a must try if you come here. Everything else was just as good and service is fast and everything is fresh. This is a must must must try!! Thank you Chang Thai thank you chef Joe”
“I've been here 3 times now, it's not often you find a bar in a small Virginia town where everyone makes you feel welcome. The Northern Lights IPA is refreshing, bright, and crisp. Perfect for these 90 degree days.”
“Never have catered before,so I tried the corner restaurant 100%loved it great price, the family loved it,so yes l will order from them again, ?⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Faye ”
“I've been searching for a brunch place that took food seriously since Brooklyn Star (RIP) closed. Finally, here it is. A previous review referenced the steak and eggs as some of the best steak they'd ever tasted. I had to challenge that overstatement, but I've failed. It was absolutely one of the best cuts, alongside over easy eggs that apparently shared a well-seasoned griddle. The bar service was exactly what one would want; friendly, attentive, and eager to offer suggestions or leave the party alone. You want a bartender who can read a room, and I'm happy to report he works here on Sundays. The ambiance is close and comfortable, you will chat with your neighbors. This appears to be a local favorite, and makes me somewhat wistful I'm not a local - but it is just 40 minutes from my new home, and worth every mile. I'm told the shrimp and grits is also worth a look if you're lucky enough to visit on a day when they are offering it as a special. Dodging the crowds from Crozet Pizza? Walk just under the rail overpass and discover Fardowners on the "Square."”
“The drinks are amazing and high quality. It is so fresh and tastes so authentic. Highly recommended to everyone, I think it tastes better than some milk teas in China!”
“I absolutely love eating at the Arepas on Wheels food truck and finally tried their resturant. Now it is my favorite place for lunch! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. There is always plenty if seating and the service is so friendly. I 100% recommend them!”
“What a great spot in Crozet! The food is really good & flavorful. You'd never know it was plant-based. Bartender was really nice and helpful. Atmosphere has a great vibe. Highly recommend. We'll be back!”
“Wonderful taco truck!I think it cost me 3.50 per taco and honestly everything tasted so good! All tacos originally comes with corn tortillas but i think they can also do flour.Great bang for the buck, def ask for the spicy sauces because *chef's kiss*.They do accept cards and the staff was wonderful. The truck is located right next to the laundromat so its hard to miss.”
“We have visited several times now and Lori gives such wonderful personal service every time! The food is awesome and the service is great! We love the wine tasting flights and always try something new!”
“Went to Farm Bell for a business breakfast and it was very good. The service was excellent, the coffee fine, and the Belgian Waffle I had was great. The building is really interesting too - I'd go back.”
“Stopped by on our way back to Richmond from Stuarts Draft. Pretty quick detour from the highway. Food was very good, we loved the Tom yum soup, the butternut squash and green curry as well as the kao soi. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about what goes into their dishes, which is great when you have food intolerances and want to feel confident your order will be something you can enjoy. If you’re passing by, definitely check it out. Yum ?.”
“We tried their half rack ribs and a quarter of chicken, for sides, we got rice and plantains, and for drinks, horchata and mexican coke. They’re all so good!!! The ribs were falling off the bones and have such unique sauce which we liked. The rice was a perfect pair for the meats and the plantains tasted fresh and not refried. We’d come back for sure.”
“This place is great. I've been here a couple of times now. The last time was for a sea shanty show and it was packed. There were cars parked down the access road. It was great. The music was fun, the staff was friendly and attentive even though they were swamped. My kid loved running around on the grass outside.Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian banh mi.”
“This place is so good that I wrote a poem:In SK Coffee, where aroma meets delight,Each cup a journey, a sip, a flight. In cozy corners, stories softly brew,Where friends gather, old and new.Sami is the best (he made me write that)”
“Moe's is delicious, to begin with. The barbecue is perfect, and the collards are the best I've ever had.The atmosphere-the employees are all, every one of them, the most courteous, kind, attentive, and helpful folks ever to be employed in food service. Come for the food, stay for the life advice.Lastly, the music: whatever they pipe in, it is guaranteed to blow your mind. Last time I went in, I was introduced to some jazz/funk that has completely exploded my Amazon music algorithm. It's a beautiful thing.”
“We ordered 30 pizzas, a mix of cheese, pepperoni, and a bunch of specialty pizzas (Funky Q, Mighty Meaty, Veggie), and as usual, the pizza was amazing and the service was excellent. The pizzas were hot and ready to go. People keep coming back to this same event again and again probably in part large because we’re serving Mellow!”
“Friendly staff and delicious food!Vegetarian options: Soups, salads, and pasta dishes available.Dietary restrictions: Chicken available for mammalian meat allergy.Caprese pannini, Stromboli and Tostitos are all good!”
“Good customer service. The owner is very nice!! Good food quality, the place is kept very clean. Have never seen such spotless drinking glasses at other restaurants. This is the only place I will drink water from if it's not in a bottle!! My usual order is the Spicy Chicken Masala- highest level spice - accompanied by their white rice and their yummy bread.”
“This place was amazing the first time we went (right when they opened), and has not been as great on future visits but is still solid. Some of the better quality Indian food we’ve had in Charlottesville, and the service has been consistently great. Try the lamb rogan josh, and everything on the starters menu.”
“1sr timer. Me and my family absolutely loved this place. Best pizza I've ever had. I would highly recommend stopping by. And the ranch is amazing. I'm not a ranch on pizza guy, But at this place it's a must. I would highly recommend trying the ranch. We definitely gonna be returning. We live about a hour and 45 minutes away. It's worth the drive ?Parking: Right in front of the business. Plenty of spaces. Lots of in and out customs. They stay busy. But good food places I would expect this from.Kid-friendliness: I seen bunch of families having a great time. While eating amazing food”
