“A convenient place in Pipers Gap road. They offer most convenience store items and made to order food reasonably priced. This is the only store around this area for quite a while so if you need a drink or some food or the various other things this is your last chance for many miles heading towards Lambsburg MTN.”

“Always so friendly & helpful. They have some of the best espresso/coffee beverages in town (blended, latte, cappuccino, whatever...all consistently perfect! ?) Not too sweet and my ice isn't completely melted bc they used hot espresso for an iced drink! (A cafe down the street hands me a completely watered down latte every single time.) The charcoal coconut mocha is my favorite (I add espresso for the extra kick) and my daughter loves their smoothies. Can't beat the atmosphere either..always pleasant and peaceful. Oh and you have to try the avocado toast!”

“First time, and we had the place to ourselves, but there were lots of orders being called. We wanted to dine in for a change. Prices were very reasonable, had egg drop soup, egg rolls, triple delight for Danny & shrimp kew for me. Everything was great & we will definitely be going back!”

“I tried GX Market for the first time today and it was one of the best Vietnamese food places I had ever been to. I ordered the Pork Noodles, Pad Thai, Red Curry, and Egg Rolls. I actually ordered the Pork Noodles earlier in the day and went back because it was so delicious! The egg rolls are the best I have ever had. I am definitely going to be a regular of this hidden gem in Galax.”

“I didn't go to Subway, I just stopped to get gas,and went in the store,so as far as the store goes it was clean workers seemed to be friendly and competent,it was busy but things seemed to just float right along. Oh, and the gas prices weren't too bad either”

“I had the Galax Cakery make my grand daughter a Happy Sweet Sixteen cake. Not only was it perfect but the taste was incredible. They also make a fruit tray, vegetable tray, chicken salad croissant tray and sausage balls! I absolutely recommend them!”

“Very good food! I love LJS! It's a very underrated restaurant. We don't have but this one anywhere in our area. I have no idea where the next closest is.
It is very expensive these days. It wasn't ever super cheap, but it is most definitely priced high for paper plate kind of restaurant that is self-serve. The fact it's the only one in our area, I would think the owner of it would try to keep it looking more up to date and clean. Outside was little run down, and the door on condiment cabinet was literally hanging by 1 hinge and standing open.
The employees weren't very friendly. They were very attentive to the order screen but not so much the customer. Had to wait for someone to eventually speak to us and finally take our order.”

“Husband had this pizza years ago at a rural location. He completely forgot about it until seeing sign at a different location in another very rural area. I personally have never had it and I'm extremely picky when it comes to pizza. It's one of my favorite foods. Well he suggested I try it because he remembers loving it over a decade ago. So I agreed and got a simple pepperoni pizza and then drove 15 mins home. Only cost $11.99 plus tax for a 12" Pizza which is cheapest pizza I've ever purchased. I had to rewarm it which made me hesitant on the quality. I was totally wrong. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN. First purchase for me was yesterday and today I went out and bought 2 more. Great dough, sauce, cheese the works. I will forever be a Hunt Brothers Pizza only..”

“10/2024: Possibly the best of the three Chinese restaurants in Galax in terms of the food tasting and looking the way I like. Though that isn't really saying much. They use real Chinese vegetables and spices. Generous portions and reasonable prices except for the limited selection of overpriced drinks. I always order steamed rice and maybe half the time they substitute rather oily fried rice. But at least it is not full of peas, carrots, and egg. Egg rolls about three stars. This is primarily a takeout place but they do have a few tables for dine in. Not really set up for dine in and they don't seem very happy to see dine in customers. Dine in meals are served in styrofoam take out boxes with plastic utensils. General Tso chicken, Kung Bao and Sesame chicken all good. My partner says the wonton soup is good .

Parking: It's in a mall so there is always plenty of parking.”

“Came through clutch !! We were in town for the smoke on the mountain events and couldn’t find anyone willing to deliver to our airbnb. We talked to kind folks at Ciro’s , and they had fresh hot pizza at our door in no time. Pizza was fresh and tasty and hit the spot after a long weekend of bbq competition. Thanks Again for excellent service and food !”

“The food was good, but nothing super special. I had an enchilada and burrito and they were what youd expect from any Mexican restaurant. Others tried different dishes and nobody said, "Wow you need to try this!" like they would if it had been anything unexpected. Still, if you're in town and want Mexican food, this is a good place to eat. Service was good too.”
