Visiting with four family members, we were warmly welcomed into a spotless, inviting, and modern space, setting the tone for a relaxing evening together. The staff's hospitality was top-notch—friendly and attentive throughout our visit. For drinks, we enjoyed their refreshing mango lassi and, for the adults, a round of thoughtfully crafted cocktails from the bar—each beverage paired perfectly with our meal and added a special touch to our dinner. Appetizer highlights included the papadum with flavorful chutneys, crispy samosas, and the sought-after chili chicken—all served hot, fresh, and packed with authentic Indian spices. Our main courses were equally memorable. “This is a quiet, friendly spot. There is a bar and a seasonal, outdoor patio. The place is clean. There are tvs with sporting events playing. It isn't loud, though, so you can have a conversation. The gem of the place was my server, Allisa. She was very attentive, and she had a great smile. Very friendly and helpful with the menu, too. The prices are fair. Good place for solos or families.”

My favorite dish will always be the rose tteokbokki, I can’t find that at many other restaurants and I love it specifically because it’s not too spicy for me. “Husband and I eat breakfast on Sundays at Gainesville Diner. Such a friendly atmosphere, our food is always delicious and hot. Amy is always our waitress--she is absolutely amazing, always friendly, and makes us feel as though we are her very dear friends. She brings us our coffee first thing without us even having to ask for it. The food is great, but Amy is what makes Gainesville Diner so very special.”

Salsa was smooth--just a hint of heat and not too much cilantro. Beef and chicken flautas offered a great crunch and tender meat filling. Chile relleno, filled with melty cheesy goodness, was a hit! The skinny margarita was as you'd expect--good, but not quite the punch of a regular margarita. The mango-habanero shrimp was a beautiful presentation and the sauce packed a great, sweet kick--minus a star for shrimp being really over cooked (easy fix for the kitchen, though). Sounds like the new management team is off to a promising start and we can't wait to visit again!”

“First of all I have tried all locations and I can say this one is the best. From the calm atmosphere to the eye soothing decorations. It’s a good place if you want to study and work. But the most important thing to me is their coffee. I really love it and please try the iced pistachio latte it’s my go to all the time,even the pastries are good. So I would absolutely recommend it to any one want a great coffee with nice atmosphere.”

“I have to commend Jacob who was working the register today (1/30/26) at 5:20. My husband and I visited Smashburger for the first time for a quick bite before a movie. We placed our order and within a few minutes, my husband got his burger and our fries, but mine wasn't ready. After about 7 minutes of waiting, I still didn't have my burger. Jacob realized and came to ask if I had gotten my food. He then apologized and explained they had just received several big orders and they were behind. He then went and checked in with the kitchen to make sure they had my burger started and waited for them to prepare it to bring to me directly. When he did he apologized again.

Was it irritating that we didn't get our food at the same time, yep, but this young man not only noticed, but came over to check, explained and apologized and then solved the problem. Absolutely outstanding. He is obviously well trained and also an observant young man.”

“I made a last-minute reservation at IHOP in Gainesville, Virginia, for a late dinner around 8:30 PM for a group of 30 people. When I arrived, there were only two waiters working and just a few customers, but the manager, Ulises, was kind enough to step in and help one of the waiters, Khrist, serve our group. The service was excellent, and it didn’t take long to place our orders or receive our food. Everything was great, and since 28 out of 30 in our group were seniors, the manager kindly gave us a 10% discount. My T-bone steak was cooked perfectly, and the rest of the group enjoyed a variety of dishes. We finished our meal within an hour. Overall, it’s a great place to eat with fast service and friendly staff.”
