El Ranchito is my go to place in Gate City. The atmosphere is relaxing and comforting. Unlike other places the booths are comfortable and afford easy access for getting in and out. The table sit 4 very comfortably and both tables and booths are beautifully painted with traditional pictures of Mexican culture. The addition of a large screen TV for watching sports is a great touch.

Wonderful restaurant offering a wide variety of fresh and perfectly seasoned dishes! You can expect large portions, excellent quality, and friendly service at each visit. As a GC downtown organization, we are grateful to the owners for their commitment and dedication to the Scott County community!

El Ranchito Mexican Grill is a wonderful place to eat, offering excellent, fresh, and perfectly seasoned dishes with large portions and great quality. The steak and chicken fajitas, Chori pollo, and molcajete are standout dishes. Customers describe the chips as lighter and fluffier. The staff is always super friendly, kind, and helpful, providing great service and being very attentive to customer needs. El Ranchito is kid-friendly and has a ramp for wheelchair access. While prices are noted to be a bit high, the quality of the food is worth it. The restaurant is located in Gate City and provides a much-appreciated Mexican dining option in the area.
