El Ranchito is my go to place in Gate City. The atmosphere is relaxing and comforting. Unlike other places the booths are comfortable and afford easy access for getting in and out. The table sit 4 very comfortably and both tables and booths are beautifully painted with traditional pictures of Mexican culture. The addition of a large screen TV for watching sports is a great touch.

Wonderful restaurant offering a wide variety of fresh and perfectly seasoned dishes! You can expect large portions, excellent quality, and friendly service at each visit. As a GC downtown organization, we are grateful to the owners for their commitment and dedication to the Scott County community!
My order was very small portioned good food so don't go here if you're hungry or like taking home leftovers.you might have to order more than one meal.but the people are nice and respectful.and the environment is good but won't recommend to food enthusiast
