“Panjshir is one of our favorite restaurants. For years, we used to regularly go to their Vienna location but after it closed and we moved further out, it was a challenge to go to the Falls Church restaurant. With that said, we have missed their delicious food so we decided to brave the traffic and go. Even after all these years we were not disappointed. The quality and consistency of the food is exactly the same. I'm a vegetarian and their vegetarian offerings from kadu chalow to seib, plus several others are a vegetarian's delight. Their aush soup was delicious. My husband ordered an appetizer of bulanee kachalu and enjoyed every single bite of these fried potato and ground beef turnovers.
We definitely plan on going back.“

“If you are new to Afghan cuisine or familiar with Americanized versions, you will be in for a treat. This is an authentic Afghan restaurant. The kofta, spiced meat, and kadoo, roasted pumpkin, are exceptional. I always stop here whenever I'm dropping someone off or picking them up at IAD, and I recommend you do the same.“

“The food here was second to none! The chicken was cooked perfect, and the steak was falling apart off my fork. This is my new favorite place for lunch! The manager Zainab was so knowledgeable and made me feel welcomed. Their sauces are delicious! It was clean and I could not find one thing negative about this place. I will return!
