Arrived from Dallas to visit our daughter who goes to Hampton University and decided we wanted to try a local place to eat. We found Ward's Soul Food Kitchen online and decided to give it a try. That was a great decision! The food and people were excellent. We are so glad we tried this restaurant and will return on our nxt visit from Dallas.
Ordered the bbq rib meal w/ Mac & cheese and yams for the sides also can’t forget the sweet potato pie for the side…. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD! I didn’t eat in but it did seem very peaceful
Food is decent the chitterlings are more like hog maw than chitterlings so they are a little more greasy. The yams are amazing! And the collard greens are good. The sweet potato pie is mid and the Banana Pudding is good!
