The food at El Zocalo is nothing short of amazing. A truthfully authentic experience! I cannot recommend the chorizo or birria enough. The chorizo is so similar to what I tried in Mexico, and dare I say.. just as good!

Very family friendly restaurant. No bar or smaller tables, so I recommend coming as a couple or a group. Seating could be a bit weird otherwise..

It is rare I leave 5 stars across the board, but El Zocalo is deserving of it!

Food is extremely consistent here. Wait staff has always been very sweet. Genuinely no complaints. Compares favorably to some of the best Mexican restaurants ive been to both in richmond and va beach. A little hanover gem. Try the California burrito or the Chipotle burrito!

Cameryn was an AMAZING waitress! She has a lovely personality, helpful, and has a clear understanding of what customer service is. The food was great, portions larger than expected, prices were appropriate. Highly recommend this restaurant.
