I'm honestly struggling to find words for how good this restaurant is. I don't live in RVA, but Balkan Restaurant is a must any time I go to visit my family. There is NOTHING on this menu that isn't good. The Cevapi + Balkan potatoes combo is unbeatable. I go to sleep dreaming of the food from Balkan. I cannot recommend this place enough.
An absolute must-visit! The traditional Balkan cuisine is outstanding, and you can truly taste that every dish is freshly prepared with great care and high-quality ingredients. No matter what you order, everything is incredibly delicious and full of authentic flavor.
The owner is a wonderful and genuinely warm hostess who makes every guest feel welcome from the moment they arrive. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting, and makes you want to stay longer.

I read the reviews about this place and signed up for their marketing subscription emails. I finally decided to check this place out. I walked-in during lunch around 2pm and was seated by a wonderful server, she was very attentive and so nice. I started with the Turkish coffee. My server told it was stronger than expresso so I stopped at one cup, but man it was soooo good.
