I didn't eat much except for the appetizers, either way, they were good and had a unique taste to them. I'd recommend you to get appetizers only if you like sweet stuff (Note: Only for my vegetable friends.)

Yu Noodles in Herndon is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get! I recently had the pleasure of dining here and was blown away by the incredible flavors and quality of the dishes. The steamed shrimp dumplings were a standout for me, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. They were an absolute delight to eat the freshness of the shrimp combined with the delegate dumpling wrapper made for a truly memorable appetizer.Don't even get me started on the seafood noodle soup. It was out of this world. The broth was flavorful with hints of seafood essence that elevated the dish to a whole new level. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the generous portion of seafood made each bite a heavenly experience.Overall, Yu Noodles is a must visit for anyone in the Herndon area. Whether you're craving dumplings or noodle soup, this is the real deal. You won't be disappointed by the delicious offerings at this fantastic restaurant. I will definitely be back!

Very solid noodle spot. Food is reasonably priced and service is just okay. We tend to go to ramen places in the area but when we want a noodle dish we come here usually. Really hits on a cold night!

We've ordered takeout here twice now and absolutely loved it on both occasions. I've never had authentic Chinese food so I was intimidated about what to order. We've had Chongqing noodles with pork chops, Yibin noodles, minced pork over rice, Szechuan noodles, and pork buns. Everything is so flavorful and well prepared. Their service is always quick and friendly. I highly recommend.

I came here a couple of months ago because I heard that they had good xiaolongbao at the Fairfax location. But I happened to be in Herndon on that particular day. So tried Herndon Yu Noodles.I used to live in NY and had the real thing many times. I didn’t think these were very good. The dough was very thick, and there was really no soup inside the dumplings. I wouldn’t order them again.I got one other item also. I think a pork chop. It didn’t make much of an impression. I remember being surprised at the small portion and didn’t love it.

The flavors of noodle dishes and appetizers are quite disappointing: Yibin noodle is not spicy enough, too salty, and not balanced, with noodle’s texture being too soft(宜宾燃面). Marinated duck was overly sweet. The service was not attentive when the place was not even half full. It’s an unfortunate

Having come here several times now, I think this place is definitely good, although some of the dishes are hit or miss. I love that the scallion pancake is fried extremely crispy and the special dry noodle is absolutely delicious. The soup dumplings are fairly good, but I haven’t been super impressed with a soup noodle yet, and I have tried four of the soup noodles. They are decent, but nothing that stands out to me like the dry noodles have. Staff is friendly and the environment is very cute.

Came here after a friend had a delayed flight at Dulles and was looking for some good asian noodles in the area. I knew about Yu Noodles from their branch in McLean, and so figured they would be a good option at 8PM on a random Thursday. My friend ordered the pork and shrimp Xiao long bao, Noodles in scallion oil with chicken, and mango sago. The pork and shrimp Xiao long bao was delicious, although a bit flat by the time it got to the table (still very delicious and filled with decadent soup). The Noodles in scallion oil with chicken was a very simple dish, which is hard to go wrong with. I was personally slightly disappointed with the mango sago as it was a bit on the blander side, but also recognize that adding too much sugar is often the downside of mango sago. Overall, a great quick meal that satisfies the cravings.

Great selection of items, typical of Chinese noodle places far east. Highly recommend to come and try it out and pick your favorites.

This is the rare Chinese restaurant that, despite averaging 5 stars, is truly and authentically delicious!! (There was a meme about how authentic Asian restaurants typically average 3.5 stars. It's usually true! This place is the exception.) My parents, who are from Shanghai, approve of Yu Noodles. The soup dumplings taste like home ? sooo good. Out of the three xiaolongbao flavors, the peppercorn pork ones are the best!! They aren't spicy per se but have an amazing richness. The flounder noodle soup with pickled mustard is my favorite thing to order. It's a great ratio of broth, noodles, veg, and toppings. When we were last here we also got the Sichuan beef noodle soup - it was yummy! We always get the scallion pancakes too. It's a thicker, denser batter than I grew up with but the flavor is amazing and they come out so crispy and perfect for dipping. I also really like the woodear salad appetizer and the cucumber salad appetizer. Very garlicky so bring the mints for after.Portions are enormous! Must come with appetite. One could fill up on a $10-13 bowl of noodles but if you have the stomach space, definitely get soup dumplings too.Last note: Their teapots are so cute and they pour perfectly. You wouldn't think that tea spillage is such a big deal but I've tried a LOT of teapots and none have poured as consistently as the ones here - no spills ever!! Makes for a really nice dining experience.

Consider this as a great place to choose for some delicious Chinese noodles selection. Super nice ambiance and clean place. Very impressed by the service & the operations. Good selection of authentic Chinese noodles, rice dishes and a bunch of appetizers that will make you come for more.

Had the Changkiang noodles. Not as spicy as I expected (I'd call it mild), but the broth was very flavourful with a depth of spicing and the noodles were beautifully chewy. A bargain, at $9.Service is incredibly fast. I'd barely gotten seated when a carafe of ice water with a slice of cucumber and utensils landed. The food took a little longer, which was fine.I left pleasantly full, not over-full, and happy.
