Lisa did our tasting and provided a little history on the winery. According to her the winery is the second oldest in Virginia. She did a wonderful job. We had a large party and had a private room looking out lakeside where there is duck and geese and turtles. A great place to their whites and reds. Two nice tasting trays paired with our wines. M’kay, so Doukenie Winery is actually a really nice place to spend the day, m’kay. The customer service was super friendly and welcoming, and they had a really good selection of tasty wines. The whole property is peaceful as heck, m’kay — amazing mountain views, lots of trees, an old silo, a pond with ducks and geese waddling around, all that good stuff.

Doukénie Winery is one of the oldest wineries of Loudoun county. The grounds are beautiful and serene, with amazing mountain views, lots of trees, an old silo, and a pond with ducks and geese. There is plenty of seating everywhere, like picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, plus a nice little gravel trail around the pond. In winter, guests can even light a fire pit next to a chair. The customer service is super friendly and welcoming, with staff who are attentive and knowledgeable. For a first time visit, a guest had a flight, peach sangria, and a baguette with black & blue goat cheese with fig. However, the wine is a bit pricey and food was average. The seating/table side service felt intrusive to some; they prefer to just grab a seat and get wine at a centralized location. The winery is perched against the mountainside, super quiet and serene. It is highly recommended for a relaxing getaway day. Note: Do not feed the ducks.
