“M’kay, so Doukenie Winery is actually a really nice place to spend the day, m’kay. The customer service was super friendly and welcoming, and they had a really good selection of tasty wines. The whole property is peaceful as heck, m’kay — amazing mountain views, lots of trees, an old silo, a pond with ducks and geese waddling around, all that good stuff.

Jeremy gave us a small bag of bird feed, and pretty soon the geese showed up with all their little babies to eat, m’kay. It was honestly one of the most relaxing things ever. There’s plenty of seating everywhere, like picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, so you can just sit back and chill out. The winery is perched against the mountainside, super quiet and serene, with lots of parking and plenty of space so it never feels crowded.

There’s also a nice little gravel trail around the pond if you want to walk around and take in the scenery, m’kay. Overall, highly recommended for a relaxing getaway day, and we’ll definitely be coming back again.“

“I build furniture and cabinetry, and the last few weeks we installed cabinetry near Round Hill, Virginia. We tried a few places in the area for lunch, and then visited this place for a sandwich. The food was so good, we abandoned all the other spots and ate here for the next five days. My only issue, as it was cold outside, is that there is no place to eat inside these days. Perhaps bring a few tables back for this purpose. Favorite sandwich: turkey, havarti, pickles, on sourdough bread.“

Driving through the area around lunch time and saw a review about the Fish & Chips and had to stop and verify. And no doubt - great crispy Fish & Chips. 2 large filets with basket of fries. I was really, really good. We also tried the Barrel Burger and the BBQ sauce with crispy bacon and fried onions was very good as well. We left full bummed it’s a location we might only get to once. So glad we did.“

Some friends and myself like going to different wineries every time we have a chance and I honestly been coming back to Cassanel more than any other winery I thought I liked before. “This winery is great if you are looking for a good wine and peaceful place. It’s small but it has a great atmosphere. Their wines are excellent! I love their wine and chocolate praline tasting. We like this place for birthday parties as well as it’s usually not too crowded. Their outdoor is large with many places to sit. The indoor is small with just few tables. But as I mentioned, most of their members typically pick up their wines to go so it’s never an issue to find a spot to sit. The only negative thing I can say is that my kids don’t love going there because it’s not much to do for them, and the parking lot could use a bit of love. But we are members for about 6+ years and we truly like their wines. My family makes wines in Slovakia and I took them there as well and they enjoyed their wines a lot as well!“

“We visited because they were part of the Loudoun Heights Holiday Ornament Trail * stop 5 for us! Saturday they were also hosting The Charles Washington Symphony so they were VERY busy! The Symphony required reservations, which we did not have, though we were lucky to get 2 seats by a barrel table.
Staff at the front counter were friendly. Wines were nice. I liked the way the flight was served!
Tasting room is pretty large and there is a lot of outdoor space as well.
We hope to stop back again

“Had the great fortune of trying this Hazy IPA before meeting the owner Kelsey Grammer and watching him pull beer for a few hours. This beer is outstanding! it doesn't have that hoppy bite and has a refreshing citrus finish. Put simply? it's delicious. Looking forward to more amazing beers coming!!“

From the moment I reached out to Susan, their coordinator, I knew we were in great hands. She was incredibly responsive, professional, and accommodating—especially considering we had a large group.

The vineyard itself was beautiful and welcoming. We had such a great time enjoying the delicious wines—each one we tried was truly tasty and well-crafted. The charcuterie baskets were a hit too: generous portions, beautifully arranged, and full of flavor.

“You cannot beat the view at Stone Tower Winery. I photographed a wedding this August at this venue and it felt like I was transported to the Tuscany countryside.

The staff was a breeze to work with. They were professional and were very helpful anytime I had questions or needed a golf cart ride to the other side of the property.

The hall is decorated in such a way that you can really do any color scheme or style in that room. It is neutral enough while also feeling modern and warm.
