“I cannot recommend this place enough. There was a small hiccup with our daughter’s birthday cake, but Merri was incredibly quick to make it right, and for that I will always be appreciative. My daughter got the cake she had been talking about for months and was absolutely overjoyed, which is truly all I could ask for. The care, accountability, and kindness shown meant everything to us, and I will absolutely be continuing to order from them for all of our party needs! Thank you again!❤️”

“My wife and I were in Culpeper today to attend her uncles service at the Culpeper National Cemetary. After the service was looking for a place to eat. My wife and her uncle are Greek and I noticed this gem while looking through Google. We decided to go in his honor. Charlottesville has many Greek owned restaurants but our trip to Albanas was our first time at a place that served totally Greek cuisine. I can't think of the right words to describe our experience that would do justice. I think I have found a new favorite restaurant. The food and atmosphere was so delightful and amazing. The food was so fresh and everything is made in house. The pita bread melted in your mouth and my wife and I ordered the Gyro and we both commented that as Gyro fans it was the very best we had the pleasure to sink our teeth into. We had a awesome Greek salad as well and the dressing was so flavor packed and refreshing. Can't wait to make the trek back to Culpeper again soon to partake in this great establishment. We met Albana while we were there and she was very nice and you can tell she takes great care and pride in what she serves and the customer service from the other staff was supurb as well. This was also our first experience at a restaurant where a robot brings your food out to the table. I was very impressed with the people, food and atmosphere. Culpeper definitely has a little corner of Greece in its midst!”

“Great service and greater sandwiches. Quality ingredients and big filled sandwiches. I'll be stopping back in when mood hits for a really sound deli sandwich and will be bringing friends. They do also have a wide variety of wines and some local crafts to look at while your order is made.”

“My wife and I just finished our 3 night stay at the carriage house. We chose this due to its close proximity to Old Rag but due to a fall and some stitches in my wife's knee the week before going, we unfortunately had to skip the Old Rag hike. The host Jimm had plenty of great suggestions for lighter hikes and his hospitality was top tier. The carriage house was clean and cozy and Jimm's breakfasts were delicious! Sitting on the porch with some wine after a day of hiking and watching the sun set behind Old Rag was perfect. We will most definitely be back to conquer Old Rag! Thanks Jimm!”

“I have yet to have a bad experience at this place , You must try the Smashburger !! It’s in my opinion the best burger in Madison.
The fries are always seasoned good & crispy.
All the employees seem kind, friendly, and attentive. I do wish they had more decor on the walls , it’s such a beautifully redone space however the walls are almost completely bare
From a locals point of view this is definitely a place to stop and check out if you haven’t before and a place I’ll continue to go to :)”

“Trying to bring back some nostalgia, there are lots of timey-like items for sale. Things like grits mix and rolled oats. Most patrons were in the deli line getting sandwiches. Right next to the store is a boat launch area where you can rent boats to take onto the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful at the store. Go get you some fudge.”

“I looked everywhere for a local made Caramel Cake for my wife's birthday. I called Knakal and was told they made it. They sell it in 2 or 3 layers. I ordered the 3 layers and drove over 90 miles to pick it up. It was worth the drive! The cake and icing were moist and excellent. When I arrived, I told the lady at the counter it was for my wife's birthday. She turned and went in the back about 5 minutes and returned with Happy Birthday and 2 flowers inscribed on the cake. The cake was DELICIOUS and reasonably priced. Such a great southern treat!”

“We have loved Rhonda’s hot dogs for years and because they are so tasty and because of her outstanding customer service, she is a “regular” at all of our special events here at Bees & Trees Farm! While we love several of her dawgs, this newest one (with the avocado) is OUTSTANDING! Never would I have put these flavors together, but they create such a party in your mouth you just HAVE to try it!! It comes spicy or hot! Check this bad boy out—thank us later 😉”
