“My wife and I just finished our 3 night stay at the carriage house. We chose this due to its close proximity to Old Rag but due to a fall and some stitches in my wife's knee the week before going, we unfortunately had to skip the Old Rag hike. The host Jimm had plenty of great suggestions for lighter hikes and his hospitality was top tier. The carriage house was clean and cozy and Jimm's breakfasts were delicious! Sitting on the porch with some wine after a day of hiking and watching the sun set behind Old Rag was perfect. We will most definitely be back to conquer Old Rag! Thanks Jimm!“

“I was on a weekend wine adventure last week. This place popped up on my radar. Did a four-pour tasting. Very good. You don't see Shiraz in Virginia very often, and theirs is very good. They also offer elderberry wine. I bought three different bottles, I was so impressed. Staff is delightful and the owner very personable. She took the time to speak with me at length. Go here. They happened to be hosting some kind of medieval armed combat event when we were there. Very cool.“
