“The hospitality at River Hill Distillery was amazing! A group of us came to Stanley for the weekend and numerous people told us to check this place out, so we did and I am extremely happy we did! From the wine, the bourbon, whiskey and moonshine they were all amazing! After we did our tasting the gentleman gave us a tour of the back of the house and explained the process of making everything! I will 10/10 come back and would recommend it to ANYONE! Make sure you try the Hillbilly Margarita. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“What a great breakfast! Charming dinning room. Also, can eat out on the porch with views of the mountains. The service was exceptional! Friendly, efficient and attentive. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Large menu to choose from. Nice selection of tea to choose from. Great as tea drinkers are often overlooked in restaurants. We had a great breakfast experience! Highly recommend.“

“Cutr little spot nestled at the foothills of the mountain. There are several tiny cabins and a restaurant on the premises. They even have peacocks! We dined in for dinner and opted for the dinner buffet and salad bar. Everything was as expected. You can expect southern style cuisine here. There's an adorable brook behind the restaurant. Next time, we will stay at a cabin and try out the breakfast and report back.“

“Good view of the Shenandoah Valley, but there are great views close by at the overlooks. The meal was good; but not great. I had campfire trout that was well prepared. My wife had a very nice chef's salad. The mile high blackberry ice cream pie was a delicious dessert. Overall, it is a nice lodge with a nice meal and a good view.“
