“We stopped at Rincón Venezolano while traveling through Lynchburg, and it was genuinely one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. We’re a family that cooks nearly everything from scratch - we’re all gluten-free - and we’re particular about food, so that’s not something we say lightly.

There were four of us — two adults and two young girls — and we don’t eat large portions, so one order of arepas with chicken and cheese plus one platter (beans, rice, plantains, shredded beef, avocado, and a cilantro cream sauce on the side) was plenty for all of us, (supplemented with an avocado we happened to be traveling with.)

Every bite was delicious, clearly made with care. It was comforting to know that the food we ate did not conflict with our dietary requirements. My little one, who has a hard time eating when we’re traveling, polished off her plate entirely.

The one thing we wish we had more of is vegetables on the plate — we’re big vegetable eaters at home, so the small side of lettuce and tomato was a bit different from what we’re used to. That’s a small note next to how good everything else was.

We didn’t get pictures because we were too busy eating, which says it all.

Highly recommend if you’re in the Lynchburg area — this food truck is wonderful.

“Our son and his wife hired Sourdough Pizza to cater their wedding in 2019 in Harrisonburg and SP was kind enough to drive their pizza truck all the way there to set up and make AMAZING woodburned sourdough YUMMY individual pizzas for all our guests with salad on the side. Everyone was impressed and came back through the line for more...and the line moved quickly too!! I would highly recommend their catering services!!“

“My husband and I just had a fantastic experience here. A hidden gem we did not know about! We asked if they have pastries and they do! They get them from a bakery in downtown Lynchburg and they were awesome. I got a cinnamon bun roll and my husband got a blueberry muffin. Then when they gave us our coffees, they had cute little Christmas stickers that said Dasher and Comet 🦌 🎄 The girls gave great customer service & told us about the upcoming Christmas parade next Sunday!!! it’s a drive-through so it was fast and we highly recommend this place! “I take my grandson by here several times a month to get his favorite ice cream (vanilla with a little bit of chocolate fudge and sprinkles) and the staff never disappoints. They are always very friendly and polite no matter the day or time. There is one employee (Andrea) that always has a smile on her face and makes it a point to say thank you and always makes my grandson laugh (he is 15 months). This has become our favorite time together and the little tables are absolutely perfect for kids his size. Thank you for always providing the best ice cream around.“
