“We received a gift card for Christmas and decided to try Playa Bowls.
I ordered the create your own, 2 base mix with banana/pitaya, and added almonds, strawberry and granola. My husband ordered the #5 oatmeal. We both enjoyed our bowls and definitely recommend as a healthier alternative to other sweet shops or fast food options.
Service was great, the cashier offered to answer questions about the ingredients etc. The shoppe was clean and well decorated. Parking is no problem, as it's a storefront located at our local mall.“

“We stopped at Rincón Venezolano while traveling through Lynchburg, and it was genuinely one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. We’re a family that cooks nearly everything from scratch - we’re all gluten-free - and we’re particular about food, so that’s not something we say lightly.

There were four of us — two adults and two young girls — and we don’t eat large portions, so one order of arepas with chicken and cheese plus one platter (beans, rice, plantains, shredded beef, avocado, and a cilantro cream sauce on the side) was plenty for all of us, (supplemented with an avocado we happened to be traveling with.)

Every bite was delicious, clearly made with care. It was comforting to know that the food we ate did not conflict with our dietary requirements. My little one, who has a hard time eating when we’re traveling, polished off her plate entirely.

The one thing we wish we had more of is vegetables on the plate — we’re big vegetable eaters at home, so the small side of lettuce and tomato was a bit different from what we’re used to. That’s a small note next to how good everything else was.

We didn’t get pictures because we were too busy eating, which says it all.

Highly recommend if you’re in the Lynchburg area — this food truck is wonderful.

“I always ask for sugar-free and oat milk because sugar makes me sick, and regular milk has a lot of natural sugar. I usually double check that everything is sugar-free but sometimes something slips through and I don't realize it before I've had half of my drink. Today was ones of those days. Now I'm paying for it. Not really their fault. Mine can be a complicated order and I may not have made it clear.

All that aside, Joe Beans is my favorite place. They have a good assortment of sugar-free flavors and the employees are so nice! If you've never been, go. They're everywhere - except Amherst County. (Please come here! )“

“We have been long standing customers of Joe beans but our experience today made it so I had to leave a review. Our daughter accidentally spilled the extra large latte we had gotten for mom. After we got it all cleaned up we came back through and shared what happened with our barista and she did not even hesitate to replace our drink and was so apologetic. Great job on training your team well!“

“I recently ate at Millie's Living Cafe for the first time and it was phenomenal!! I got one of the rice bowls and a gluten-free chocolate chip muffin, both were not only extremely delicious but extremely healthy! It is difficult to find food on the go that has wholesome ingredients and that also caters to common food sensitivities and allergies. I will definitely be back, thank you for your outstanding service to this community!!“

“This was my first time here and I don't usually do the sugar places but I was hanging out with my teenager and we decided to do a special treat.

Because it's my first time I wasn't really sure what to order. There was a guy named Austin who was super patient and was able to help me identify something that I would really enjoy.. he customized my drink and his service was phenomenal. I feel like Austin probably has a strong future in sales. Excellent! Excellent customer service.

Five-star service.

My son got the quarter sweet blended matcha strawberry drink. Quarter sweet was perfect for him. I got a classic cola fizz with diet Coke. It also had tropical elements to it - coconut and vanilla.

The drinks were delicious treat. Very sweet however.

“I took my daughter for the first time on the way home from school yesterday afternoon. My daughter got the pink mermaid fizz and I got a hot sweet and salty. My daughter loved hers and mine was also good. I would mention that the drinks are very sweet so if you like more of a coffee taste then you may want to get less sweetener in it. Service was also great and fast. Laura helped me with my order and Becka talked to me at the register. Both very kind and helpful young ladies. The girls inside seemed to be having a great time at work which is always nice to see as well. Would come here again.“
