Just tried for the first time! I got a medium chicken wrap and it was SOOOO GOOD! Definitely going to be a new workday craving for me!
best chicken sandwich in Lynchburg!
I have loved Hangry Joe’s Lynchburg from the first time I tried them when they first opened. I have been a regular customer since then, just love the mighty Sando. This past Thursday, 4/4/24, I gained a new level of respect and appreciation for this restaurant. Based on customer reviews, Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & Wings is a place with friendly, happy, and uplifting staff. The manager and a lady from the restaurant are noted for being very nice and going above and beyond to fix problems, such as a stolen order or a missing item. One customer mentioned the staff immediately took care of a missing item and offered to make a milkshake for a son to make it right. The food is described as "slammin," with a whole sandwich that was great, huge, and with perfect seasoning and slaw. The chicken is not quite what it used to be but is still pretty good for the price. However, some reviews mention issues with DoorDash orders, including cold food, a missing Mountain Dew, and difficulty reaching the restaurant by phone. The price was considered too high by one reviewer, and the service was described as slack. The drink options are limited to Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, and Mountain Dew, and the atmosphere reminds some of a renovated warehouse or a college bar without the bar.
