“Consistently good service and delicious food. The fried bean chimichangas are my favorite. My family loves the La Caretta and the beans and rice. The menu offers options for everyone, including vegetarians. Our favorite restaurant to visit when in Lynchburg.“
“This is the best taco truck on the planet. I always get two carnitas tacos with the queso and they give us free chips each time. So. Fire. Just all around amazing and the guy who owns this truck is a literal sweetheart. Support your local food vendors !!!!!“
“We had a lovely lunch. The food was freshly prepared. The presentation was attractive and the spicing was subtle and tasty. The service was better than I have had in even some fine dining establishments: attentive, pleasant. Plates were promptly removed, to go boxes provided and beverages refilled. The restaurant was very clean. The cook was authentic and skilled. There were vegetable options on the menu. I did not think to confirm if these were vegetarian.Pricing was very reasonable for what we received. We would definitely return.“
“I had not eaten here before but I decided to drag my very picky mother in law here for lunch. She didn’t have a single complaint, not one and she always finds something to complain about. Tortillas are fresh, meat was tender and so flavorful. She got chicken and chorizo tacos and I had Al Pastor and Quesa Birria tacos and all of it was just magnificent. They were generous with the onions and cilantro as well as the salsa. The beans that come with it were simple but oh so tasty and the cantaloupe frescas was delicious and refreshing. I can’t say enough how delicious everything was. The lady at the window was very friendly and helpful too. I will be dragging my husband here sooner than later.“
“A spacious fun spot downtown great for any time of the day on your own or with a group. With daily specials it's a win whenever. They have a variety of different dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff is engaging and friendly making for an enjoyable experience. A nice addition to downtown that surely will only get better as the weather warms up and you can sit outside.“
“Food was very tasty! I really enjoyed immersing myself in some of the culture. Restaurant has a bar which would be great for happy hour! My group of three were treated very nice upon arrival and during our visit. Food did not take a long time to come out.“
“Pretty cozy Mexican place in town. I personally think it's a lot better than La Carreta. I recommend the Chips and salsa even though they're $4. You're paying for each one because you can choose all of them. The Burrito Goloso was great! I think it was a good portion for the money.“
“yep, meself € my Mommy went there ate small lunch together B4 my Dr.'s appt. 1/2 way down the road ... their food was absolutely great... ordered 2 small plates of Chicken Talaveras w/ soda pop...+ it was kinda over crowded too !!!??Parking: Great locationsKid-friendliness: Great place >> Kids too !!??Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space for wheelchairs parking spaces !!“
“Good service when dining in, and very fast when ordering to-go. If you don't in on a weeknight you may be pleasantly surprised at just how quickly you get your food, but on the weekends expect a regular wait time. For something a little more authentic, try the Chilaquiles (spicy) or the Tacos Al Pastor with Horchata as your drink! The fajitas are really good, and enough food for one parent to share with two little kids as long as you ask for more tortillas.“
“We went to this restaurant today 1/2/24, after seeing it yesterday when we arrived in town. This will be a two paragraph review.First, the food we ordered is very similar to el toreo back in Ocala. I ordered the choripollo, which is chicken cooked with mexican sausage, and it was grilled excellently but not perfectly, and the sausage was a nice smokey blend and not salty like store bought. My wife ordered the standard chimichanga and an a la carte quesadilla. Her chimichanga was perfectly fried until the cheese inside was melty, and the steak inside was well seasoned. The shell was crispy outside and soft inside. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and actually pointed out the chimichanga because my wife couldn't find it on the menu. He also was very quick on the drink refills, but I never did catch his name. The restaurant itself however was very very loud.“
“Wonderful little spot for your mexican food fix! Although the place is not that big, it makes up for it in tasty food! The place was nice and clean. Service was good. It was seat yourself and grab your own drink out of the cooler. I liked that idea. The food was the definite star! To start, just the chips and salsa were some of the best I have had. The burrito I had, with beef tongue as the meat, was excellent. I wish it would have come with some side like refried beans or something, but it was still good. My culinary companions both thought their meals were excellent. So glad we stopped and will definitely be going back. Do yourself a favor and give them a try!“
