As I was passing through Madison, VA on U.S. 29 - I noted Piedmont Deli - which I've seen for years - but never visited. So in to Piedmont I went...I ordered their version with an Italian Sub - with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and banana peppers - to go. Sub was made to order. They wrap up the sub on a paper plate with a small bag of chips and a dill pickle spear.The sub was really good - hit the spot. I am more of the crusty style sub rolls fan - but Piedmont used a soft sub roll - which actually worked out quite well.Great sub, I would eat here again. There are 3-4 tables to eat in.
