Making our reservation was easy using Google. It gave us the opportunity to let the chef/owner know what we like to eat and where we like to sit. It was even possible to order something that wasn't on the menu.
Upon arrival, we were greeted (by name) and got the table we requested. This is a small family-owned business – Tatti was already open when we moved to McLean in the late 199os – located opposite a newer, bigger restaurant. What we find attractive about Tatti, and why we come here for special occasions, is that we can easily talk to each other - there is no TV or loud music playing. Café Tatti has this old European café feeling. We also very much like the food.

An extraordinary dining experience from beginning to end! The food is incredibly fresh, authentic, and bursting with flavor. The Chef is a remarkably talented and creative chef whose skill and passion shine in every dish. The service is exceptional — warm, professional, and perfectly attentive. This restaurant truly stands out; it deserves recognition at the highest level and would be highly recommended for James Beard consideration.

Cafe Tati It’s a hidden gym very romantic great service and the food is extraordinary. I’ve enjoyed so many good meals there. I had the best time for Valentine’s Day. We really enjoyed our meal. We could barely eat our dessert. Excellent wine selection. We’re really looking forward to going there soon.

What an incredible experience! If you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine Cafe Tatti is a must visit, and if you don't love Mediterranean cuisine you will afterward. The service is top-notch but the food steals the show. Chef Giovanni often visits tables, an even more inclusive touch, and is happy to discuss the details of his delectable preparations. I had a crabmeat and N'duja sausage pasta creation I had never heard of before, but will crave forever. The wine was an excellent addition to a perfect meal, and we will be returning regularly!

I did to dine French style restaurant and the chef Giovanni Carlo was present. Unfortunately it is not quality food was I was expecting and the service was terrible. I do understand the new restaurant and in the beginning. Chef not supposed to do entering orders on computer, serving the food and cooking in the same time using low quality ingredients. Only the filet mignon which I did not try about several of my McLaren friends he told me it was very good quality compatible with the top steakhouses what does good as the sheriff of La Provence in Bethesda formerly Le Pavilion Washington DC on l Street in Connecticut avenue. Chef Giovanni Carlo he buys it's good filet mignon. But salad it's a little too small and dressings not up to the global standard to for the fine dining, the soups are note to the expectation for example like the soup of chef Patrick Vienna Virginia formerly Basin on Church. The bread is it is very plain uncooked inside from like factory-style bakery no sourdough style with the life East like European bread should be. When you make caesar dressing you have to dry the lettuce very well after washing need and add parmesan cheese, single source cold press olive oil you mix garlic fresh yourself and Dijon mustard, lemon juice from fresh lemons two drops of the Tabasco sauce.I cannot teach you the details how to make the excellent salad dressing. After washing dry salad lettuce well with the cloth or paper towel. dressing was tasteless. Then after what else I had smoked salmon was okay course was not safe traditional way with the chopped yellow part of the egg and no sufficient amount of the capers onions. Beef like a goulash Hungarian style $45 way over price. In general service was terrible, coffee was as well terrible in the end and I will not trust the chocolate mousse since he's using artificial ingredients including artificial flavor caramel and palm oil which is toxin it's not really recommended chocolate mousse was no good no good presentation. Finally I don't want to see those dark plates. You should use nice white plates or some design French style plates Provence motives. Give a beautiful light color plates maybe use the golden ring or something like the chef of the pavilion French restaurant was beautiful back 35 years ago.

We had a magnificent meal at Cafe Tatti this week. The duck l'orange, beef bourgenon, trout almondine, and seafood risotto were superb as were the wonderful deserts! We love this place and have been 4 times in the last few months

I recently visited Cafe Tatti for dinner with family and was absolutely blown away by the level of service and standard of dining this restaurant had to offer. From start to end, we received very attentive service from our waiter and I was also very impressed by the cocktail and wine offerings. I would highly recommend Cafe Tatti for an elevated, cozy dinner if you're looking for 10/10 service and food! Thank you Cafe Tatti for such an amazing experience! I will be back!

Had a wonderful lunch at Café Tatti in McLean today with my husband. We ordered from the prix fixe menu, which offered a great variety of options. Between the two of us, we tried the French onion soup, Caesar salad, chicken in Marsala sauce, and the cavatelli pesto pasta. Everything was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse and a cannoli, both were fantastic.

The chef even came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, charming, and very inviting. This place truly feels like a hidden gem. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Fantastic restaurant. New ownership with outstanding 5-star chef. I felt like I was in a quaint European cafe. Where the owner and chef visit with you at the table. Food was perfect, of course. Will dine there again this week.
