Cafe Tatti is a gem - small, authentically French cafe/bistro vibe. The service is exceptional and their attentiveness to every detail of the meal/wine, etc. I had the sole meuniere because it is a classic french dish - I would have preferred the small Dover sole - I think this was Petrale (which is larger and thicker) but it was excellently prepared. Superb gem. Exceptional French food with Italian flare and homemade pasta on menu. Highly recommend the classic onion soup (beautifully prepared to traditional perfection with three cheeses and sherry) Also recommend tagliatelle bolognese which features homemade pasta. Husband had burrata with prosciutto which was incredible quality mozzarella and confit au canard sandwich that was a smash hit. Chef and owner introduced himself which was so nice. Wait service excellent.
The event was a wine tasting of the Italian Piedmont region. The food was thoughtfully and creatively prepared, with the portions in just the right amount. The meal ended with a cheese course, instead of a sweet dessert, which was a Very Pleasant Surprise. I wish more wine tasting host restaurants would try this! We were warmly greeted on arrival and seated quickly. The service was superb in every way from start to finish! The wines themselves were from not widely known producers...
