Very nice for a romantic evening. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the wines and food. The food did not meet up to their reputation, however. Good but nothing to write home about. My chicken was on the tough and dry side. Roasted potatoes were over cooked and lacked any real flavor in my opinion. The tomato salad offering was very nice. The filet steak was cooked perfectly.

Wonderful afternoon at Harrimans. A perfect venue for afternoon tea. Couldn't have asked for better service from the team there.

We had a lovely dining experience with premier service and traditional American breakfast. Multiple members of the staff greeted us with a welcome and we were seated promptly. The view of the stables and manicured garden and fields made for an idyllic setting with glorious sunrise. Lilly was our server and never missed an opportunity to manage the experience. It was a delicious meal and started the day perfectly.

Hostess was absolutely incredible! Service was only ok, though they were nice. Bread was very good. Appetizers and meal were just ok. Tried too hard to be presentation pieces and then missed on flavor.

Very good afternoon tea experience. The service is excellent. All of the food items from the dessert to the savory sandwiches were excellent. There was one item we did not care for, but it was more due to our tastes. I did find the tea selection to be very non-exotic, but it was fine. They had a good oolong which I enjoyed. Be sure to get a bench for your purse! LOL

Having been to Harrimans for both breakfast and dinner I can tell you that every meal has exceeded our expectations. From the eggs benedict to the Cesear salad, the NY strip steak to the dark forest dessert, every dish was crafted with expert skill, attention to detail, and world class presentation. Our servers, Julio and Terry, took time to explain the meals and helped to curate truly exceptional dining experiences. We got the chance meet Chef Lu, talk with him about his experiences, inspiration and remarkable culinary creations. Every aspect of dining at Harrimans combined to create an exceptional, memorable experience.

We had an incredible dining experience at Harrimans Grill at the Salamander Resort & Spa. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.

Julio provided truly exceptional service and went above and beyond to make our evening special. He was attentive, warm, and made the entire experience feel elevated. We enjoyed him so much that we were lucky enough to have him again at breakfast the next morning, and it was just as wonderful.

The food was outstanding. We had the chance to try several seasonal items and were completely blown away. I ordered the chicken, and it was packed with flavor, honestly one of the best I’ve had. My significant other had the New York strip, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly.

And the desserts… absolutely out of this world.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I participated in a cooking studio whiskey chocolate cake demonstration. We initially thought we would be preparing the cake, but we did not. The pastry chef conducted the class but it was kept somewhat interactive by walking around and showing us up close each step, answering questions, etc. The cake was delicious and the whiskey portion of the class was excellently done. The server bringing drinks was courteous, professional and engaged well with all participants. We had lunch afterward and I had the Middleburg cheeseburger and fries which was just ok. I was disappointed as I expected much better quality food.

Harriman's was as wonderful as we had hoped. The ambience, service and food were all top-notch. The restaurant is a special place to spend an evening relaxing and enjoying the feeling of being removed from hustle and bustle, but still a part of something dynamic and lovely. Our server was a joy to interact with and each course was outstanding. Highlights for us were the cornbread and filet, which was melt-in-your mouth tender and flavorful. We will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed a mother daughter brunch at Harriman's. The ladies at the front were polite and Mohammed provided a great recommendation when I was torn between 2 entrees. The shrimp and chorizo was delicious and the salmon plate was fresh and prepared with excellence. While we waited, I had the most delicious hazelnut latte and mom had a cappuccino. I tried to enjoy it slowly, but it was delicious enough to finish before my meal arrived. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. We'll definitely return again.

The food for Sunday brunch overall was average, nothing was outstanding and the scrambled eggs were overcooked. The service was mediocre; not as attentive as it has been in past visits. There was an enormous amount of time between the fruit/salad and the next course - probably about 20 minutes, and used dishes were left on the table so long that I had to summon the waitstaff to come to remove them. Definitely not the experience of past visits that I expected.

Breakfast at Harrimans Grill was such a pleasant experience and easily worth the visit. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and comfortable, relaxed, clean, and perfect for a calm morning meal. I came for breakfast and everything about it felt well run and welcoming.

The food was excellent. Fresh, hot, and cooked the way you hope breakfast should be, simple, satisfying, and full of flavor without being heavy. Portions were generous, and the meal arrived quickly without feeling rushed. You can tell there’s consistency in the kitchen, because everything on the plate tasted like it was made with care and attention to detail. It was the kind of breakfast that actually sets the tone for a good day.

Service was another highlight. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely polite. They checked in at the right time, refilled what needed refilling, and made sure everything was good without hovering. Even with other tables around, the service felt smooth and professional.

Overall, Harrimans Grill delivers the full package. Great breakfast, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I’d definitely come back, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable breakfast spot, whether you’re dining solo, meeting friends, or starting a weekend the right way.

I attended the cheese lesson at Harriman's and it was a wonderful experience: elevated, approachable, and genuinely informative. The chef guided us through each selection with clear, thoughtful commentary, and suggested pairings with the accompaniments on the board so you could really taste how each cheese changes alongside something sweet, briny, or crisp. Everything was beautifully presented, and the complimentary non-alcoholic sparkling beverage was a welcome touch. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a curriculum aid, either a one-page handout listing the cheeses and recommended pairings, or a few PowerPoint slides on the TVs in the room. It would help guests follow along and leave with something tangible, in keeping with the otherwise refined, well-run feel of the experience. For anyone considering it: the lesson came to $65 per person (inclusive of a 23% service fee), but it felt well worth it for the quality of the food and the instruction.

Definitely one of the worst dining experiences I've ever encountered. Absurdly overpriced mediocre food and extremely terrible slow service. I'm baffled how this restaurant has been awarded any sort of recognitions as it failed to prove otherwise over dinner. Having so much waitstaff walking around for a less than half full restaurant seemed more of a circus show than proper dinner service. Save yourselves the reservation
