No one here returns phone calls. If they can't reach out to their customers who leave messages, it shows that they really dont care. Will not be purchasing any of their products.Their liquors also seem to have cloudy mold looking material floating around in the bottom of sealed bottles.. had someone called me back maybe they couldve helped explain this... instead I'll shop elsewhere

Not a cider person, but the flights surprised me with their quality, taste variety, and quantity (I’m a lightweight). My husband got one of the whiskey flights and loved it. Cool little atmosphere made it just separate enough from their barn less than a mile down the street.

Great venue vibe but the cider was not good. All lacked body and flavor. However the hot cider made with brandy was delicious. Don't waste money on the cider flight just go for the hot!

This smaller location downtown is convenient for grabbing a delicious cider while exploring beautiful Middleburg. The lovely lady helping us was patient and gave us great recommendations. I had the Shandy. It was light and refreshing! Seating inside and out, clean restrooms.

Nice location that is walking distance to downtown Middleburg. Clean place with delicious cider and very friendly staff. Also has a nice outdoor area.

Went to Middleburg from Harper's Ferry WV specifically to check out Mt. Defiance for my birthday with several friends. The Cider Barn was large and accommodating. I had a strawberry slush and tasted many of the other ciders they had from friend's flights. I'm not a super fan of dry cider, but they had plenty of other options as well. My slush was amazing and the food truck had the best falafel we had ever eaten. We decided to move to the Distillery as we were excited at the spirit flights and many options of on premesis made spirits. As others have said, parking is very limited, but we solved that issue by carpooling from the cider barn. I honestly wish we would have just stayed there. The atmosphere is much much different at the distillery. I'm not sure if the woman working the counter was having a bad day, but she was very curt and disinterested in us and we quickly felt like we didn't belong there. We finished our drinks, bought a few bottles, and left to finish out the evening at the Oktoberfest event down the street. My friends and I are all in our 30s...and a couple were actually in their 60s that went before us and said they had the same experience, so I have no idea what prejudices our group could have stirred up aside from being "out of towners". We probably won't be back to the distillery. Cidery on the other hand is a must go if you are in town. Might even consider the hour drive to go back there again.

I love this small ciders and distillery in middle burg, va. They have quite a few ciders and I think their spirits are underrated. Their tasting room offers both tasting flights and full cocktails. I got the farmhouse cider today and it was delicious with a generous pour. I've also gotten the old fashioned which was amazing as well. The Anejo spirits are also tasty and we usually bring at least one bottle home. They are dog friendly as well which is a plus!

Kesha is a must see on the weekends! All their cocktails and liquors are phenomenal. Don't forget to have a cider!

What a fun stop in Middleburg. We visited the Cider Barn and found out about the Cidery and Distillery. It was the perfect stop with friendly service and great cocktails. My wife and I both enjoyed our visit to this little gem in Middleburg.

The cutest storefront distillery in the cutest town! Small and intimate sitting area, very friendly and patient staff. No food, but good recommendations given. Cocktails are well crafted and delicious!

I ordered a tequila flight as did another person in the group. Neither of us liked any of them. I only took a baby sip of each because to me it was horrible. I let them know and all she said was “well everyone has different tastes”. Not I’m sorry. Didn’t offer a discount since I didn’t drink it. The other person added a ton of lime in order to drink her flight. Again nothing from the employee. Terrible customer service. Will never go there again or recommend it.

Great location and service was very good. The storefront is charming and the variety of liquors is surprising.Unfortunately, after sharing several flights of their liquors, I can't recommend the agave based liquors, nor the apple brandy, nor the rum, nor the absinthe, nor the dryer ciders. Everything had a fairly uniform taste of grain neutral alcohol with the merest hint of flavor. The ale yeast Apple cider was the best of the lot, but didn't compare favorably with Angry Orchard or other mass produced ciders. For novelty alone, it's worth watching the copper pot distillation process. I'm sure the Strawberry Apple Cider will appeal to drinkers of sweeter ciders. I wish the people running this business well, and better luck in creating original recipes that don't taste like flavored grain alcohol.

Ambiance is nice. A big modern barn so large and spacious they rent out for weddings. The bartender was very, very, knowledgeable about the cider industry in Virginia. He was informative about Mt. Defiance products... but that only goes so far. The cider, itself ranges from harsh and bitter to harsh with apple pie spices to harsh with mint flavor ( not kidding ). I thought it was mediocre at best. Not very apple-like if you see my meaning. I, glad we visited, but they are going to have to try something new if we are going back again.

someone needs to let the lady who works there on Sundays know, that smaking and popping and chewing gum is rude and is a bad image for the company. I could literally see her gum in her mouth as she was chewing it! and she is middle aged lady who should know better.

Fantastic little spot to try cider, liquors, and cocktails. Cider is dry English style, and the staff is very knowledgeable about their drinks.
