“Wendell here, coming to you live post meal, hungry man no more. I have watched the character arc of Noodles and Company progress firsthand through experiencing the culinary creation known as Japanese pan noodles for many many years now. It's the only thing I've ever had, through the good, the bad and the abysmal. Noodles and company was on time out for a while due to their sharp decline in quality. This location may have swayed my feelings in a more positive direction though. I had a great time despite serving the dish exclusively in to go containers even while eating in the restaurant. Mother Earth weeps. I wept joyful tears of feeling a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. Like being reunited with an old friend. My old pal noodle. And yet... the lack of company persists. It seems I am destined for eternal noodle solitude. If the quality of the noodle is as good as this experience though, maybe life won't be so bad alone.“
“Charming little place with only eleven tables. I have been wanting to try their pho since the reviews were so positive. Came at 1:30 PM on a Friday, there were three parties in front of us already been waiting. We were seated in 10 minutes. The owner/waiter was very friendly and efficient. He seems to know most of his customers by name. The place is very unique with interesting decorations. Unfortunately I am not a fan of their food. The pho broth lacked the strong flavors of beef bones being cooked for hours. Grilled Pork over Rice and Grilled Beef over Rice was OK, nothing special. From the look of it, I was really hoping that this could be my go to place for Pho, but it will not be.Please note that this is a CASH Only business and they are closed on Wednesdays. They close at 5 PM expect Sunday at 4 PM. I applaud that the owners are making time for themselves besides running a successful business.Parking: We had to park off the street.Wheelchair accessibility: There are stairs lead to the front entrance. There is no wheelchair ramp.“
“Stopped by tonight as I am a fan of asian cuisine. The menu has plenty of good options but not too many which I appreciate. Pricing was very fair. Restaurant appears to be small in staffing, yet my waitress was plenty attentive and kind. I ordered the pad see ew and my partner order the pad thai. We both were very satisfied with flavor and portions. I felt appreciated as a customer here and I will be returning, if you’re in the area check this place out!“
“My wife and I have eaten here twice. Both times the ramen was excellent. The spicy miso ramen was hot, but not too hot (only face sweating). The service is attentive without being too personal (no need to introduce yourself to us and return repeatedly to the table to check in, as with some restaurants) and the atmosphere is nice, with Japanese decorations.“
“Great place to grab a quick bite as I stopped in and had a curried tofu and rice dish that was very tasty. The serving was so large that I had to take about half of it to-go. The restaurant is located inside the New Grand Mart with seating but no table service. I love the store, but this was my first try at the restaurant and it did not disappoint. I will be back and bring some others with me next time!“
“I’ve eaten here on and off over the past decade. Now that I moved to RVA permanently, it’s typically my go-to since I like to shop at Tan A for convenience. I feel like the food has declined some over the years and has less punch to the spices and sauces. The portions have gotten smaller but that’s pretty expected nowadays. I do see that there are less Asian people eating there so maybe that’s why the taste has changed… lol. Not a lot of other decent competition though, so I can’t complain too much since there’s no Eden center here.“
“Great food! Authentic flavors. Best Asian inspired food I have had in a while. This is a new favorite for my partner and I. We typically order the Shrimp Egg Foo Young, *Sweet n Sour Chicken*, Orange Chicken/General Zao's, and Egg Rolls, among other things. We are highly satisfied each time we order. I highly recommend!Parking: Restaurant is in an odd location, in the corner of the parking lot. You have to park in front of another store and then walk around a slight corner to reach the store front. Well worth the hunt!“
“We had a catering order, in which there was a system issue. GM, Shante Trueheart in Glen Allen, took ownership of our order. Delivered the order herself. Made sure everything was taken care of! The food was labeled as we ordered it, which we greatly appreciated! Feed was delicious! We never would have thought to order catering for a work lunch from here, but I can tell you we will from now on!!“
“The restaurant no longer does dine-in since COVID. The owner is very friendly and the food has always been good and flavorful. Prices are very reasonable for the area. We order from here weekly.Parking: Big parking lot and a gravel parking area. It shares parking with Deep run barbecue and Daddios Grille.“
“Cheap, affordable sushi and meals. The sushi isn't the highest grade, but you're getting a bargain for what you're paying, and I've never had a bad experience with either the food quality or the staff. I definitely recommend the combination bowls!Parking: Plenty of open and free parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily wheelchair and handicapped accessable.“
“Wonderful, I've been here four times and it has been great every time. The food was yummy, and the service was great. I had a really fantastic interaction with one lady on staff when I went with a group of friends, she spent some time chatting with us since the store was empty, and it was lots of fun. Also, I went three weeks in a row and ordered the same thing, and by the third time the cashier remembered me and my order!! Good job y'all!“
