My husband and I have been coming to the MV Inn for years as part of our visit to the General's beautiful home. This time however, I cannot say that the food was good. We decided to get lunch here and were glad we did on our visit the week before the 4th. The place was very busy yet we were seated and our drink orders taken quickly.
We ordered our food and enjoyed our drinks talking about our day when our food arrived. I got the usual cheeseburger while the wife ordered shrimp and grits. Oh, I shouldn't forget my side of succotash.
Everything tasted great, the food was well done and delicious. Wife could not finish her...

We were hoping it would be a little higher-end. The food was not good at all. The pot pie was just a dry, hard biscuit with the most unappetizing stuff poured on top. Tasted as bad as it looked. See photo. Peanut soup tasted like warm skippy peanut butter. Didn't eat any of it. The chicken was ok. Our server was extremely nice though.
