This place was amazing! The food was really good and so was the service. The staff was really nice and took good care of us. The food came out extremely fast and the pricing was reasonable and the atmosphere was great. 5 stars.

The vegan cauliflower steak, served with vegan succotash, was superb. The vegan fried green tomatoes were equally delicious. Some of the vegetables may have come from Washington’s historic kitchen garden, which we had seen just half an hour earlier on a tour led by an informative guide in colonial dress.

We decided to have lunch here out of convenience, but was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Jose, our waiter, was Won-der- ful! So accommodating, friendly , and attentive. The Mac and cheese was delish and the fried green tomato BLT was unique, yet familiar- really good. The Maine crab soup was tasty with a New England flair. The ambiance added another element to our Mt Vernon experience.
