Our family ordered takeout and could not have been happier. The shrimp hibachi, sushi, and rolls were out of this world!
This place could improve by asking... no, BEGGING! for Louis Cajun to come back. We don't need another lame sushi restaurant in Newport News. id rather go to Kroger.
Hibachi? Not from this place. Avoid at all costs. It's not worth it.
Loved this place’s hibachi as Louis’ Cajun seafood but somehow after they rebranded to a hibachi restaurant their hibachi was terrible??? The fried rice was flavorless. The steak was dry, grey, and seemed as if it had been cooked in the microwave. There was no hibachi sauce on the meat or veggies. Even their yumyum sauce was different and tasted like pure garlic. Really disappointed.

Based on the reviews, OKINII HIBACHI & SUSHI | Japanese is a very clean establishment with beautiful restaurant decor. The staff is very polite, friendly, and welcoming. The steak hibachi is tender, and the noodles are delicious. The crab rangoons and fresh sushi are the best. The dinner sushi combination offers 2-3 rolls and a side salad for a good price. The hibachi has plentiful meat and veggies. The food is great, and the prices and portion sizes are good. The only con is that the eat-in area is not very cozy, but the food and service make it a real winner.
