“Awesome to have a great Asian Restaurant in my backyard. I'll be in here twice a week. Within a 5 minute walk from my home. Well lit for evenings. Easy entrance, able bodied or handicapped accessible. A gem in downtown. A must visit.
Vegetarian options: Most dishes could easily be be meatless.
Parking: Plenty of nearby street parking max. walk 300 feet.“

“Visiting from NYC, I basically eat whatever and wherever my family recommends. Every member of my family ordered their own Hibachi platter and there was so much food, which resulted in leaving some for the next day. I had the chicken and steak combo with fried rice and vegetables. It was my first time trying Yum-Yum sauce and it definitely elevates the deliciousness of the food.“

“Dietary restrictions: Menu is descriptive for sushi roll ingredients.
Parking: Parking lot is shared in a shopping center. While plenty of parking when I went on a Thursday night, I could see it being packed on a night where there is a lot of visitors to the nearby university.“

“In these post-covid times of it being virtually impossible to eat out for less than $15 First Wok is an exception to the seemingly new rule. The lunch and dinner combos gotta be one of the best bang-for-your-bucks in the area. You’re telling me I can get a beef and broccoli, pork fried rice, and an egg roll for $10.25 (dinner combo)???? Boneless spare ribs, vegetable fried rice, and wonton soup for $8.25 (lunch combo)??? That’s insane value.
Additionally, who would have thought that a Chinese restaurant would become my go to chicken wing spot? Wings have become exorbitantly expensive everywhere but again, First Wok remains the exception. Their garlic sauce wings are SO GOOD. I spooned the leftover sauce into my gullet like an animal. Don’t get started on the chicken wing combos either… 8 wings + chicken fried rice for $10.55 is a steal.“

“Food was great. I had the sashimi salad. The fruit pieces were bright and fresh. I was a tad underwhelmed by the spicy tuna handroll. I happen to like a larger chunk spicy tuna and less crunchy stuff. Atmosphere was fine. Service was fantastic. I was hoping to find chirashi on the menu.“

“Went to dinner for my nephews birthday last night and it was fantastic. Food was delicious! Our chef, Alex, was hysterical. My daughter said he had two jobs, chef AND comedian. Our server Katrina was always right there when we needed her. KUDOS!!!“

“I have been coming to this restaurant for 30+ years and it is always a treat! Mr. & Mrs. Han do a wonderful job. The food is always very fresh, the portions are plentiful, and the presentation is delightful. Shoku is such a joy to have as a waitress. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about Sushi Yama. Try it for yourself. You will be glad you did.“
