We arrived at 7:45 to dine in. We weren't aware they closed at 8. But they said we could place an order to go so we did. My wife ordered the fried shrimp and two sides, I got a large bbq sandwich and 2 sides. The fact they placed to orders in 1 to go box should tell you something. The food was good. But for 35 bucks for two people, the side dishes were in tiny condiment cups. One bite gone.Wheelchair accessibility: Didn't see any.
This was my 1st experience here this evening. It was referred to us so we thought we would try it out. Needless to say we were not disappointed at all. I'm not a barbecue fan so to see that there were other options I was glad. My meal was very delicious indeed. I hadnt seen the reviews posted prior to our visit but after reading them afterwards I was like omg, we didnt have that experience at all. We dined it and it was very pleasant. Food's pretty good, kinda hit and miss. The BBQ is standard -- not stellar, but not bad. The Brunswick stew is good but needs more vegetables and more seasoning. I recommend you buy a quart to go and doctor it up at home for a quick and easy meal. Service is very good. Place has been here for 70 years; they must be doing something right. Banana pudding was excellent.
