BLUF: don't eat here if you're expecting a good meal! This has been a long standing family restaurant for years and seems to always haves good crowd..... I don't get it. Maybe when we go the cooks are having a bad day??? We've been here several times in all the years it has been in business. We only go when others choose this restaurant, otherwise we'd never go here. The food is mediocre at best and the prices are terrible for what they offer. There are a lot more restaurants...read full review
Food was good - cooked exactly how I wanted it to be. My husband was excited about going to Steve's because it's one of his favorite places to go when he's visiting his family in Newport News. The service was good and the restaurant was clean.

I went here with my family one weekend and I wanted to highlight our server Alexis. She was great and attentive. She made sure we always had refills, which as a formal server is one of my pet peeves, and she treated us really nice through the whole process. The food was great and hot also.
