This Waffle House is trash ! They need new cooks order a Texas bacon melt in honey when I tell you the salt on it almost took me out omg had to get it made over in was late for work won’t go back there im going to stick with the jcylde one smh

Probably one of the worst Waffle Houses I've been to. Over half the tables and bars were empty but we stood with other guests waiting for places to be cleared for about 15 minutes. Not one single greeting from employees or an apology for the wait. Very poor customer service! Well done elsewhere from now on.

During my visit to the Waffle House with my significant other, as we drove up to this location from the windows looking in we noticed that the tables were not properly cleaned underneath from previous customers. The behavior of one of the employees, Jessica, was disrespectful towards her coworkers not only them but when taking our order, she lacked professionalism and made disrespectful comments. Furthermore, she failed to provide us with our drinks as we said them in the beginning of her asking us “what did we want”. Despite receiving our food, we did not receive our waffles or drinks. As we decided to leave without consuming any of the food, Jessica confronted us aggressively banging on the glass as we were waking out accusing us of attempting to dine and dash. It's important to note that we had not touched any of the food and offered to pay. She even resorted to hitting the back of our car and telling my significant other she’d SPIT in his face.This entire incident was highly unpleasant and unacceptable.

I'm not going to blame the whole restaurant but the waitress Jessica is disgusting. The way my daughter and boyfriend were treated is unacceptable. As soon as they pulled up last night you could see the table had trash still under it from previous costumers. As soon as they walked in Jessica the waitress was being nasty to the people she was working with. Then after she went up to the table they were sitting at with an attitude saying "what do you want." They told her, she proceeded to just stand there like they were supposed to know what they wanted to eat as soon as they sat down. Then they went ahead and told her what they wanted. She took the cooks their order and was throwing dishes around. She gave them their food minus the drinks and the waffles. Then when she seen them looking towards her and she said " I know your waffles" in a ugh kinda way. She proceeded to ask the cook if they were ready knowing they were ready and just sitting there. They get the waffles, still no drink. So they were finally fed up, they didn't touch anything. They decided to just leave before things got worse. So she starts beating on the glass from inside. Saying "she's not paying for their food." That they were dining and dashing. When they didn't even touch anything. She runs outside behind the car and said "hit me and I'll call the police." And started banging on the back of the car like a syco. My daughter's boyfriend got out and said he could pay no problem. But, another woman that was very nice that works there. She came out and was trying to get Jessica to stop acting crazy. And told them that she knew how she had been acting and not to worry about the food. That they could go that she understood. Sooooo, needless to say Jessica the waitress doesn't need to be there. If you are that disrespectful and unhappy to be there then don't work there. This was one of the worst situations my daughter has ever been in at a restaurant at that.

Food took about 30 minutes to arrive, it was cold when it did and several waffles were well overdone, I Queued up more universal music since it was playing not very family friendly music, waitress was rude and rolled her eyes after being asked to slightly lower music volume since I couldn’t hear her or my wife talk. They turned off the music after being asked and then 10 minutes later the GM came out and put more cash in and blasted more very loud music that was still not family friendly. They’ll replace the management before too long, like always. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Brought our son for his birthday breakfast. Took over 20 min to get our food. My husbands waffle was over cooked. My toast and hash browns were lukewarm at best. The fan was constant running and uncomfortable. Perhaps the worst, the music was so loud we could not converse. We couldn’t even hear our waitress. When my husband asked her if it could be turned down a bit she rolled her eyes. They ended up just turning it off altogether, which was frustrating because we’d used the jukebox and had songs in the queue. Later someone else restarted it and it was just as loud and not the songs we’d picked.

Took the kids to the new Waffle House on Jefferson Rd in Newport News. It was a hit for them and me. I actually love their waffles but we all know THE HOUSE can be a little janky sometimes and smell like dirty mop water. This one was very clean, the servers were nice, professional and actually smiling. The food was The House's finest of dining! I Recommend this location.

Friendly folks serving and cooking, Newport News is a good place.The heating/cooling unit is Out Of Control! The fan is on high speed! Curtains are blowing about, a lady's hat got knocked off - my plate was moving across the table! Some how the blower needs to be turned down!

I'm a sucker for Waffle House. Since I was a kid on family car trips into the southern parts of the USA, I have loved the whole gestalt of fresh waffles, hash browns, eggs and breakfast meat in a fast casual setting that allowed us to watch the floorshow of the cooks doing their thing to an internal rhythm only they could dance to from our perch along the counter. Visiting my sister in Newport News, VA, we noticed a new W.H. shoehorned into a parking lot on Jefferson Avenue, and decided instantly to have our next morning meal there before we headed back to Bucks County. Parking was tight in the tiny lot around the building, and there was only one way in or out. Still, we parked and went inside. We were lucky to snag the last four stools at the counter. The joint was humming in New Year's Eve Day; with at least 12 working the grill and waffle irons and serving we customers with smiles and clever repartee. I ordered the All Star Breakfast (waffle, sausage, hash browns, two scrambled eggs, toast and famous hot Waffle House java). The fam had variations of the theme. I didn't touch the toast and couldn't finish the waffle nor taters. It all seemed a good deal for around $11 with bottomless joe. We were all sated and entertained. Upon departure, we embraced and said farewell before driving off toward the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel Bridge, the Eastern Shore and ultimately, home.
