This was our first time here and it was worth the wait. We were greeted by the friendliest hostess, Lily, and shown to our very comfortable booth. Carl, our waiter, brought our drink order and we asked for a cup of She Crab soup and it was amazing! We moved on to a veggie burger and a French Dip and both were fantastic. Had warm and delicious Apricot bread pudding for dessert. The restaurant is beautiful and service was great. We'll be back for sure.
Well. Today was a very hard day for my family. I live in OBX but wanted something to make me feel comforted. I drove all the way to Freemason Abbey Restaurant in Norfolk. I can't eat meat anymore :( , but the choices were so tempting to almost did. I got the french onion soup and the chickpea gardenburger with a slight kick, and a glass of wine. Sooo good. The historical woodsy atmosphere relaxed me to no end and the waitress, Madison, my goodness...read me like a book...
We went here for our anniversary, we made brunch reservations on a Sunday morning. Everything was excellent. The waitress went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was amazing and drinks were as well. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The architecture of this building is absolutely stunning. We will definitely be back to try out their dinner menu.
