Love this place! My new favorite hot dog spot in Hampton Roads. The Norfolk snap dogs they serve take me back. They also serve homemade soups daily. Had the Lima bean soup with cornbread one day, delicious! They take credit cards now, not just cash only anymore. The ladies working are super friendly too! Very nostalgic, yet delicious.
I ate 3 different versions of the chili dog. There is no taste of chili. It's more like a meat sauce instead of chili. Lew's seems to be a place for loyalists, but it's not for me. (Fortunately, I've found a 5-star establishment with excellent chili dogs.)
